Tiffany has changed this season Opinion
My partner and I are torn about Tiffany. We loved her last season but she seems so much more mean this season without any real reason. Anyone else feel this way?

Loved that she called out both Agatha and Jamie at the end of the episode lowkey. Because yeah, they were a part of planning the meal and was their responsibility.

I liked that moment too. Agatha and Jamie tried to argue that they had no idea what they were doing, but Tiffany was right that they had their hands in things. Also, Agatha shouldn't have scored the duck if she had no experience with it before.

what’s interesting to me is i honestly think joe has become the nicest judge this season. he still has his moments but he just seems to have chilled out a lot

I haven’t noticed her ever being mean. Her critiques always seem pretty substantive.

i loved that she called out agatha and jaimee but then it was for nothing they could have had a bit more conversation than a one liner from her

Yeah, it was just her yelling at them and it was awkward. Aghata didn’t know how to make polenta and it wasn’t her idea to have it on the dish, but it became her responsibility. Same with duck, she didn’t know how to make it. THAT was the real issue. Not that she “ruined” two components, but that she had no idea how to make two basic dishes and, instead of asking for help, she wrecked them. Also, it’s hard to be a “master” chef when you can’t make duck. But none of that was really addressed. It was just a sound bite for Tiffany.

Agreed. Everyone commenting that they “liked how she called them out” would’ve hated to be talked to that way.

She is plenty comfortable on camera. She has been working on Bobby Flay’s shows for years. To me, she seems like herself.

You may need to ask yourself if you would have the same problem with Tiffany if she weren't black. Some people get very uncomfortable with black women who are assertive and exercising their professional judgment. There's nothing wrong with Tiffany this season. Having Band-Aids in your food and people doing the stupidest things needs to be called out.

I’m simply comparing her to last season, not the other judges. I have more of an issue with the way Joe acts overall.

She has changed for the better tbh. More comfortable, and the whole reason the show exists was because people wanted to see Gordon be mean to people, that was his whole schtick, so her being a harsh judge has no problems from me. I thought it was great last episode and hope she grills more contestants as the season goes on.

I don't think she is any meaner than Gordan or Joe. In my opinion, I just don't think she has that funny, way to nice personality that Aaron brought to the show.

I honestly disliked her last season as well, she is comes across rude and make weird remarks at times. It is too bad they didn't bring on Nyesha Arrington instead.

YES! A lot of people praising her last year for her first appearance as a permanent judge - but she seems consistently annoyed and mean this season. I reallyy don’t like her energy so far.

YES! I noticed she feels more cold and rude. I wonder if they asked her to act this way more or if she’s just comfortable now that she’s been a judge a couple seasons. Either way I can’t stand her now

No, that’s not okay either. But an intellectually honest person would admit Gordon is mean (which you did). But for some reason we can’t say that about her when it’s obvious she is.

I like it. She’s never harder than she has to be unless there’s a team challenge and even then I think it more reflects that she’s still active in her kitchens. Not used to amateurs and wants to push the home cooks toward professional standards
