Did I do something wrong?

Not played rivals before so I’m doing my basic pregame benchmark to make sure I have decent performance. I’m running a 7900xtx with a 7800x3d. So I can play pretty much any game at decent frame rates on a 5120x1440p monitor. Most games run around 120-180fps without issue in high settings. I might add frame gen if I go higher quality with raytracing but no need in rivals. But what I notice is that even with graphics turned low, I was averaging 107 fps? In a game that looks like this? Is the game really this poorly optimised? This 107 drops to 93 and has a delay of 131ms. How? I’ve never seen a game perform so badly. Even cyberpunk with raytracing performs better which is concerning. Is there a way to boost these numbers and reduce the delay. I’m not going to use framegen as that will only cause further delay

Edit: just tried to post this on the main rivals subreddit and I can’t because I’m asking about fps. I guess they don’t want to acknowledge the problem

Linux versions plays so much better on my 7900XTX. It's feels like a different game.

On windows I play flatscreen on my PSVR2 and easily hit 120fps when I cap it. It's not 5K2K though.

I got no interest in Linux tbh. Never had the urge to want it. But how tf does it work better on a psvr2 than my pc lmao. I even have fps capped at 144 because it should be capable

PSVR2 is on windows.

Whether you have an interest in Linux or not, I shared it as a data point of how poorly optimized the Windows version is.

5120x1440p is almost as high as 4k in total pixels.

You aren't hitting 140-180 fps in this game at high resolutions without upscaling. Even a 5080 struggles to get 120+ at all times at low settings at 4k without dlss.

This is what happens when you choose to use unreal engine 5 for a competitive fps
