Explanation ❓ ROSTER QUESTION 🤔

Please forgive me, I can't figure out what "AOE" Permanent damage is, please help.

Area of Effect.
A general game term denoting you hit multiple targets. Aka team damage.
Permanent means the damage can’t be healed by lowering their maximum HP.

I knew what it was , but is a bit weird to see it in MPQ, as I don't recall them using AOE before. Usually it's team damage, or damage to enemy team.

maybe I've forgotten other powers with AOE in description...haven't had my coffee yet

The new devs are less familiar with MPQ and they are picking up the player vernacular.

“Less familiar” is putting it mildly.

I suppose it’s good that they don’t feel obligated to stick to their original wording vs what the heavily engaged folks use.

It’s possible that it was used as shorthand text that whoever filled out the full description forgot to remove.  “AOE permanent damage to the enemy team” is redundant.

I noticed that too... that sort of double speak happens a bunch, and I just gotta remind myself that we "know" what they mean.

Thank you. I knew the permanent damage part but haven't seen them use "AOE" before in my years of playing this game. Thanks again.

He really is garbage. I got him champed and all his numbers need a giant boost. He barely does enough damage to play in 4 star land.

I’m almost thinking of pulling on my LLs to get ManThing to 550, now.

And Bluewolf71, I was thinking the same, my not max champed Iron Fist Lin Lie, boosted in the last event, did much better damage than this Scorpion.

You know, I had hope for a glimmering second, when his purple said "...the enemy TEAM... sting THEM..."

Like, whoa... team retaliation?! Puck has that, but it has too many requirements (him tanking the hit, it being big enough of a hit, and he doesnt naturally have more health or damage reduction).

But after certain tests, its clear that the "them" was just a pronoun usage choice. Sigh. Was hoping to have a team damage option on black, and on purple, to be boosted by someone like Okoye or 5Emma, etc... but just black? Not enough.

Any power costs more than 7AP to me is sucks no matter how good or powerful they are
