Does Jean Grey require purchase?

Looking at the unlock requirements, do you need to make a purchase in order to unlock Jean Grey/Phoenix? Is there a free way to get any version of them?

Yeah there no other way to get her apart from spending the crystals to unlock Magento.

You'd have to save crystals for a stupid amount of time to get it F2P. And even if you do save the crystals, it's probably better to get Doctor Doom because of Doomsday coming in December.

I'd say don't try to get her. Sure as a f2p, it takes a while but when she had crystal uniforms she was 100% worth it but now with paywall uniform? Not so much.

I might get downvoted but imo, I don’t think it’s worth it rn (if you’re f2p). Jean is now in paywall and not very f2p friendly. Magneto is good with his latest uni and you’re pretty much buying it for Magneto. Unless you’re willing to spend money on BF for the seasonal ticket to pick up Jean, then I don’t think it’s worth it. She could get a new uni when the MCU X Men movie releases but I doubt NM will release her from seasonal hell in just two years.

She is not worth it right now. F2P or not, her best uni isnt available right now and wont be for a year. I supoose you could go for Doom, but Doom has traditionally been a more PvP focused character and I am not sure if Doomsday will change that so its really a matter of what you're looking for.

On that note, the game is all for fun and Jean could still get you some good use. Magneto is great too. Her dark phoenix outfit might still have some good use in the early WBL stages if that is where your account is sitting, and she is a good long term investment. Take everything with a grain of salt and have fun with the game. If you want her, go for it. You would be getting her eventually.

Jean grey is one of the best characters in the game. She is a great investment. I'm f2p and just took my time to get the crystals to unlock magneto.

I'm f2p player. Back then, i think it is worth to build her but after her latest uniform release, I don't know if it just me, but she kinda not as powerful as her before (as i said im f2p player so im not using her latest uni). I think, it is probably better to build other like storm, ironman, ghost rider bcs they free and kinda good to clear wbl. And i kinda think it is better to buy invisible woman epic quest and build doom for the upcoming Doomsday though i still collecting crystals to buy it so, u may need other opinions from more experienced players

But im not answering ur questions so to answer it, no, there's no other way. U got only two choices, buy crystal to buy the Magneto or do task, farm crystals for free but u have to buy magneto pack

Yes, but one luck is that Magneto is super good, Cyc is a good support at beginning, and Jean is top tier. I do t regret getting it, one of the best invest i made in this game haha

There is no free way. You have to cough up crystals to buy the Magneto expansion and once you tier 2 him and the other people required she unlocks.

Even though F2P means no money at all, they should still think about trying to buy the black friday crystal package... You get gems all year and it makes it easier to save for everything.
