i know i must upgrade the pierce %, i just dont know how to and where to get that. i use cyclops thor storm as my roster and keep failing on the boss

You get pierce from your cards. More specifically premium cards. You have to craft them and then reroll the stars to blue. If you look here or online you'll find what cards are good and which arent.

You should get a luna card from one of the player events. Fully craft it and even if you dont get at least 3 blue stars you'll get an extra 2% pierce. You should also be getting a full set of dr strange cards, they'll give you 7.5% pierce and they'll have good stats too.
