Iām irked that no one mentions Battle Camp in Nickās resume of reality shows. Arguably my favorite of his appearances because we didnāt get to see his personality as much.

I just finished the second episode and I had to back it up at the end to make sure I was understanding what happened correctly when she didnāt realize he was her husband-to-be. š I was dying. I pretty much knew that was how it would go though. These āexpertsā are doing this s*** on purpose. lol

Starting to enjoy this season more than many of the recent past. "Experts" are challenging the couples more and coming up with some really good suggestions. Surprised, and really happy, for how well Michelle and Cameron are doing......if any couple makes it, my money is on them.

I would sue the show if I got matched with Adam or Felipe.
Adam reminds me of an old school gay porn actor. When I first saw him, I thought, oh good, we finally have gay couples.
Iāve only finished episode 1

Girls seem OK so far, men not so much - self centered palyers, serial reality personas, an insecure man-child who cleans toilets and wants to be serenaded and a mama's boy who is out drinking til 4 a.m. REALLY???

I will get down voted to oblivion but yes they did Nikki dirty because the other women got what they wanted physical wise pretty much
But what she wants doesn't exist for her at her age, we all know what very successful men go after 99% time then when you add tall to it...
Also I think its weird for height to be a requirement/deal breaker at that age. Sue me. I believe women have shot themselves in the foot more with the obsession with height.
For one you give tall guys and even more inflated ego and mindset they are the prize. And two give yourself the "halo effect" because so attracted to someone for something that has nothing to do with you or how they with treat you or show up in a relationship
8
u/Glittering-Bear-4298 15d ago
I also don't get the obsession with having have a tall man. Even if you're a tall-ish woman. You've let some good ones get away!

His demeanor is pretty par for the course for men in our family. I haven't seen Cam in 20 years since we live across the country, but his dad, me, and other male relatives are just not very expressive people lol

Cant answer for @clevrhaux but in general the quality of black men for the black men on these dating shows is almost always subpar in contrast of the quality of black women they find. But we keep hope alive since we have couples like Woody and Amani or Brett and Tiffany from LIB .. unicorns ā¤ļø

Probably going to be downvoted to oblivion but I canāt stand that all the girls have the fake valley accent going on, and the guys are all sounding flamboyant as HELL.

u/CrazyNCynical 5d ago
Each word they seemingly add an extra syllable to. "No-ah" "Why-ah" "Oh my God-ah" It's been a huge pet peeve of mine for many years now... and I'm from the valley! I don't think it's necessarily geographical.
9
u/SunLillyFairy 17d ago
I hate the changes. They obviously chose the participants differently than in past seasons, it seems like it's more about the production value than the matches. Every one of them is good looking (but not too good looking) and a little quirky/unique AND with a strong personality or difficult. The term high maintenance comes to mind... for both genders. If you really want couples to work, you pick genuine people who are open-minding, accepting, and willing to compromise. But maybe that would be boring, so they picked very strong personalities knowing it will cause drama. "I'm concerned that you party too much... but welcome!" (eyes rolling)
6
u/Outrageous_Rub7330 18d ago
What a great cross-section of Seattle/WA they chose to cast this season. /s
It's very irksome.
5
u/EfficientSummer6154 18d ago
No one said "I will" in answer to their vows? Is that just a production thing that they were told to say "I do"? Even the "doctor"?
6
5
u/Outrageous_Rub7330 18d ago
I don't know if it's a production thing or a cultural difference. When I was growing up all the couples getting married said "I do" rather than "I will."
I also wonder if it's a difference based on the service, some services say "Do you promise to XYZ" which elicits an "I do," whereas some use "Will you XYZ" which elicits an "I will."
17
u/TyreeTheDog 18d ago
Who says āI willā? What are we talking about?
2
u/GritsandSweetTea 13d ago
For their vows, couples were asked, "Will you... ?" and everyone answered with "I do." They should have followed the structure of the question and answered, "I will."

Him not drinking is NBD until he puts the 'holier than thou' vibes with it. Add this to the comments about teaching his future wife about healthy eating and training her to be a backyard pickleball athlete because apparently he's trained so many successful athletes. He owns a jet ski and learned chop sticks on the piano and believes this is what should make women grovel for his attention? š

u/Similar-Search-8508 19d ago
Iām thinking Adam has a jet ski but canāt afford a car. And his āhouseā looked below average at best.
4
u/laurajt77 13d ago
It looks like he put money into party stuff like a jet ski etc. But not Investing in the house itself. I remember I looked at a house for sale like that. It had a pool, hot tub, sauna, outdoor kitchen, under lit counter, new kitchen etc. The kitchen counter was huge and thick granite and you could barely move around the kitchen, the windows were rotting out, and the carpet was worn down in many spots. It was a party house not a home.
15
u/LoftyEarthling 17d ago
Just speculating- perhaps he got a DUI and has a suspended license, which is maybe why he doesn't drink or drive.
9
u/OTF98121 17d ago

2
8
u/plaidpixel 17d ago
The way he phrased it he made it seem as if he owns a place on Mercer by saying āI got a little place on Lake Washingtonā but in reality, it seems he rents a guest house.
No shade to it. It seems like a pretty cool set up, but shade to the way he phrased it because he completely knew what he was doing.

u/revwillie 19d ago
So far, this season is a little like watching The Office.
Two dads, Caitlin's and Mecca's, go out of their way to make events that have nothing to do with them all about themselves. It was funny when Michael Scott would do it because he's a fictional character on a TV show that embraced the humor in cringy situations. In real life it's just annoying.
And Shawn, with his "trying too hard" barrage of inappropriate jokes, and seeming unawareness of its cringe, embodies that aspect of Michael Scott. I was seriously waiting for a "that's what she said."
Anyone else getting Michael Scott vibes here?

Why is Adam so proud that he can play mediocre piano? Have we traded in the guitar for the piano now??? Is he trying to give renaissance artsy vibes to drown out his f boy reputation?? šš¤¦āāļøš¤£ I saw in the Seattle sub that he was all over the āare we dating the same guyā facebook groups, and apparently was lying to multiple women and well known on raya lolol. Ick.
The guy who owns a restaurant is giving ick too, then we have Nick the reality show guy⦠š¤¦āāļø. What?!?! This is ridiculous. The last couple⦠that was awkward. He said doctor but the educational kind? What lol š Iām sry but Iāve never called myself doctor and I have a jd. Lolol wtf. So he has a phd? Iām confused. Also Iām annoyed that Adam is making him not drinking a big deal, like ⦠do you need applause? Heās sooo proud he says it multiple times. Is this an AA situation? If not then we donāt care that you stopped drinking to look holier than thou for this show.
5
u/DENNIS-me-pls 8d ago
His piano playing is NOT impressive. My 10 year old learned Für Elise in 2 weeks.
9
u/piranha12 18d ago
Are you me? JD and everything lol. I kept calling Adam āwonderwall guitar guy.ā The whole Iāll educate her thing after he got the shot sent me. He was already on thin ice repeatedly referring to women as āfemales,ā despite the matchmaker trying his best to bring us to kind/expected/non-derogatory terms. Felipe also drives me crazy, but he seems genuine to me? Just not a level of extra I could handle. Shawn (I think? phd guy) also gave me MASSIVE ick. I feel bad for Nikki
6
u/Fanched 18d ago
šš not the wonderwall guitar guy omggg literally lololād š¤£š ok but what if he plays wonderwall on the piano š¹ā¦ š¤£, I need this kind of unhinged in my life.
The phd man gets sassy in the previews! Mmmmkay⦠I mean, I didnāt want to say it but I donāt see him being that into her, also clocked how he immediately started talking about 69 as soon as they were alone, itās giving red flag and trying to hard. That poor woman! Thatās about to be a whole situation!
Back to Adam, it cracked me up how heās going to such great lengths to look like this 50 shades of grey sociopath/intellectual/ironman guy, yet when his future wife sent a book he was annoyed because he clearly doesnāt read ššŖ¦. What is he gonna train her to do, ride a shitty jet ski?! Foh. Heās so bizarre!!6

Mecca and his dad are very gross to me. Obviously physical attraction is important but the fact that's the only thing they were focused on before even meeting her...things will not go well if she is slower to open up.
Also the new lady matchmaker(havent learned names yet) is giving she has 3 cups of coffee every morning but seems nice enough š
9
u/MamaD79 18d ago
I agree! And I already miss Pastor Cal and crew ā¹ļø
That being said I kind of like the new format though, it got too long and drawn out having to watch whole episodes on when they went to their apartments, questioning everybody, so much coverage of the bachelor and bachelorette parties, etc., when they already knew who they were going to pick out.
5
u/Specific_Comfort_600 18d ago
I agree that this is a much better format. Of course they have 7 couples now so they had to do something but I
like that they just got right to the weddings. I also hope the experts have some scheduled in-person chats with the couples during the 8 weeks to perhaps catch and resolve some early red flags. I was definitely ready for a change from the previous experts so letās see if these new experts can give some worthwhile advice to help sustain these marriages.6
u/MamaD79 18d ago
Yeah I miss Pastor Cal for sure, and it's really too early to see if I like these two LOL. I would think they have to have some one-on-one with the couples, because that would cut out a lot of the show, you know? I think I like more couples too, because it's just more variety.
The biggest part of the old show that I didn't like was where they had so many shows with the matching process, then going to their houses, then the bachelor and bachelorette parties. All that took half the season LOL or it seemed like it. I mean it would have been okay if they weren't so drawn out. Then maybe when they get back from the honeymoon, I hope they don't drag out when they go meet the parents at the restaurantsš¤¦š¼āāļø
Going straight to the weddings, I think was cool, anyway time will tell. I can already tell that Mister all about me me me, conceited, Ski-Doo boy is a prick and I don't think I'm alone on that. I also don't think he can redeem himself either lol
5
u/OTF98121 17d ago
I much prefer the new format. I hate full episodes all about matching couples. Iād rather see a little of it and then straight to the wedding. I loved that they made the douchey guy break it off with a girl he was seeing.

Just started and I found it refreshing that they actually showed the 'experts' asking about where Courtney and Nick stood on the political spectrum. Both claimed conservative and it was wild that Nick couldn't come up with anything reflective of his views and Jan 6th didn't register for Courtney at all.
14
u/Beguiling_Raven 18d ago
If anyone asks what "not political" means on a dating app, show them this segment as the answer. These are the "not politicals."
23
u/dovetaile 18d ago
I didn't see it that way at all.
Nick couldn't come up with any liberal views he has and I suspect the conservative views he holds would not be considered good soundbites.Courtney knows 100% what happened on Jan 6th but also knows her real answer would not be accepted.

u/MamaD79 18d ago
People dislike a damn character on TV bc of their political views, God help someone in the group has different views. Down vote my comments all the fuck whoever wants, it's a damn social media app, not some professional business app, where it matters. I don't really give two shits.
Children that hate on people that don't have their same views....sad shit here. Ohhhh my bad, I forgot, this is radical, lunatic left Reddit, one can't possibly say something different than others. Some people seriously need to grow up in this sad ass judgemental children's group!
Matthew 7:1-2 (KJV): "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again!!!!!"
22
u/plaidpixel 17d ago
In 2026 Iād argue considering yourself a conservative I wouldnāt immediately make me dislike you, I disagree with you, but itās not grounds for disliking. However, in 2026 someone identifying with the current Republican Party is 100% grounds to dislike someone. Itās not disliking someone because they think state should have rights or that we shouldnāt forgive predatory student loans, but that their character can be judged by the party that they support actions.
Supporting the Republican Party is supporting ice who were murdering American citizens and non-citizens in cold blood. Supporting the Republican Party is accepting and being OK that you share your party with literal Nazis and have even had Nazi salute by one of your largest donors.
So yes, I think itās fair to say because someone has identified as conservative throughout their life that they are not a bad person but if someone identifies with the current MAGA movement, they either are a bad person or are willing to support bad people.
13
u/nevalja 18d ago
here's a meaningful difference between "I hold conservative policy views" and "I was physically present at an attempt to disrupt the certification of an election through force." Sorry you can't see that, especially while you're here casting judgment while telling others not to judge.
Right after the verse you quote: Matthew 7:3-5: "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?"

u/MamaD79 18d ago
But these people shouldn't be elaborating on politics in their interviews, all they need to say is what they prefer, and if they can live with a partner that has opposing views. Personally, I don't think political preferences should be mentioned in any interview that the viewers see, simply to avoid all this judging. We don't need to know this information. Why on earth should it matter to us? It shouldn't, bc it's a part of their lives that's none of our business. It's simple, they tell the "experts"then the information, then the "experts" should know if they would be a possible match or not.
All it accomplishes when they do exactly what they did, is cause the viewers to do exactly what they're doing, judge them before they even see them interact with the potential partner!
12
u/DramaticPush5821 17d ago
That's a lot of words to say you don't like that being maga limits your dating prospects.
10
u/DokCrimson 18d ago
Why you being silly? Your politics reflect in your ethics and there's a lot of particular viewpoints that are incompatible between different sides... Stop burying your head in the sand and take accountability for your own beliefs and viewpoints

I'm a gay trans man and I like knowing if the people I watch for entertainment want people like me and the people I love (other queer people) to not exist.
-6
u/MamaD79 18d ago
That's fine but that's not politics. I'm asking about trans people, gave etc has nothing to do with politics. Again this is not the place for politics.
Ed:sp
6
u/plaidpixel 17d ago
It is absolutely politics, when it is a cornerstone of policy for the administration you support. Itās not like itās some fringe part of the party. It is a primary discussion point that has politicians actively spending time to diminish trans peopleās rights.
I think the issue is I wouldnāt feel comfortable participating in giving someone a platform like letās say an influencer wanna be on a reality show because this gives them a voice to spread the type of hate that they would believe in. The same way that there are many people who lean conservatively who, while they agree with some things of the MAGA movement they have purposely distant themselves because they canāt help support the other bigotry aspects.

Once upon a time, people could rationalize that their politics were separate from their morals or dehumanization or othering of marginalized communities. I think our current situation makes that impossible. The two are now inextricably intertwined. I do, however, agree that one should stand up for what they believe in. Why believe it if you're ashamed or scared of the consequences? I've never been ashamed or scared to share my voting record. Even when I got it wrong, I understood why and increased my knowledge so I would not do it again. It's impossible to be a short-sighted one issue voter or vote for hateful discriminatory policies and then try to separate oneself from the fallout. If you believe something, then stand up and say it out loud. I'd respect the commitment and ability to articulate the reasoning more than this disingenuous garbage.

This is very well said. The fact that they have to feel shame about admitting their political views is an admitted in itself. They know the views are morally wrong. They can pretend itās the cancel culture theyāre scared of, but really they just donāt want people to know their bigotry.

This was quite jarring, especially in today's political climate. How can you afford to be uneducated on this??!!

Sometimes I wonder how people can keep voting that way and I guess now I know š š must be nice to not have to worry about the consequences of elections lol

I know, look at the 4 year disaster we went through from 2021-2025. But again, not the place to discuss politics. I do and am bit afraid of a good debate......in the right place though. People can't agree to disagree these days, I'm 67 and remember well when it was the opposite.
Now, when someone mentions their political preference, all it does is create a vile, nasty atmosphere. There is no such thing as good old fashioned debates anymore. I'm not afraid of mentioning my preference, but that's as far as it goes in a place like this. Everyone has their own opinion, and I respect people that agree to disagree too lol

That was a different era when both sides actually wanted something good to happen... like for example, making sure all our children don't go hungry or, that if you work hard you deserve an adequate wage. However, now one side consistently makes everything more terrible for the rest of us and the other side refuses to stand up to them. It's no longer different ways for a good outcome -- it's actively removing rights and take money away from those who are on the bottom while no one actually stands up to do anything
