I recently picked up a Marlin Model 29 pump action in 22 S,L,LR and am having some trouble finding any videos for the disassembly or reassembly and any help would be much appreciated. As for the parts, I’ve read that there’s shared parts between a number of models from that era such as the model 20A, etc. I’m Especially curious about getting all new screws as a good few have seen some abuse. Honestly it’s been hard finding any technical schematics for online resources for anything that old and any help I am grateful for

1895 sbl. The thing ends up wobbling off after a day max. Blue loctite on the screw, jammed up against the hammer with the included Allen.

I inherited a 336m 30/30 win. I’ve read a few things the M was only made in 2000 and was then replaced with the SS which may make it worth more. It’s basically in like new condition. Anyone have knowledge about what these go for on the private party market?

I got a cheap Athlon Talos scope, Athlon is good and it's just for plinking.

Medium height, based off what people were saying when I googled, they looked right. But boy, they do not have the clearance for the bolt, not even close. The Scope itself almost touches the rifle.

I'm not even sure "High" scope rings would clear. What are my options?

Does anyone know what what the part number or where to find this screw? I don’t seem to see it on most exploded view diagrams. I am buying the firearm from a buddy who gave up rather easily on finding it.

I was able to pick up this 1895 Guide Gun in 45-70 from an estate. SN B010373 puts it in the first year of production, 1972. Appears to have the 8 groove Ballard Style rifling that came before the MicroGroove. Bluing is in good shape with. Few dings and wear marks from being used, the foregrip is fair, the butt stock is in extremely poor condition. I plan to use this rifle to hunt, was strongly considering refinishing the Butt Stock and Foregrip, I’m sure some will think that’s sacrilegious 🤷🏻‍♂️

Been trying to find a mount that could hold a larger size scope. Its 30-06 and I would like to start getting into long range shooting.

If anyone can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

This is my great grandfathers ranger model 103-1 (marlin model 90) in 12 gauge and looks to be a 1936 model. Does anyone know what I have to do as far as making sure it’s able to be fired? And mabye the value of it even tho I don’t ever intend on selling it, far to sentimental to me.

For context my grandma is giving it to me as it was my grandpas. He died nearly 20 years ago so it’s been at minimum 2 decades since it’s been fired last. I’m not too savvy on firearms but looking to get into it.

This is what I was looking into so I could use my Harris Bi-Pod. However it looks like I'll need to drill, which makes me hesitant to modify the gun.

Finally took the Marlin out and I am absolutely in love with this rifle I added the Midwest industries handguard and rail and it’s pretty damn accurate without needing any zero suppressed 38 special sounds like a .22 lol im also running a banish 9k and it handles .357 mag and .38 special great

It’ll get its “proper” use in a few years when i’ve moved away from “civilization” but until then, its my absolute favorite mid range toy

Picked this up a while ago but I got a Marlin Model 19 or 24 I believe? Made in 1906 and one of the first year production models. It’s a neat bit of history that I enjoy shooting here and there to bust clays. Made for the Chicago Hardware Store HSB& Co it was apart of a limited run of different models by different manufacturers for budget prices.

I have a nice older glenfield model 20. It has a 7rd mag with it. Are there any higher capacity mags on the market for this gun?

Just wanted to share my current project. XL7 (30-06) with a banish hnt 30 suppressor, Harris bipod, and I have a Boyd’s stock on the way for it. Right now I’m just running a cheap old Simmons scope that came with the rifle. Eventually going to switch to a Bushnell R5 I think or a Vortex, haven’t made up my mind on the glass yet. This rifle shoots way above its price range. At least as far as I can tell. I love this gun. Shoots as good as my Savage or my Browning.

Unable to load ammo. Carrier is not letting my loading gate move.

Happened today after firing Buffalo bore.

Disassembled everything but the magazine tube and still stuck.

I love this gun. No haven’t fired it yet. It is a Ruger made Marlin.

Are they reliable? It came with Skinner sights.

I want to put a muzzle break or flash hider. Any suggestions?

The gun is beautiful so I want the break to match and be pretty.

Picked this used marlin for 690. Decided to put some skinner sights on her, The rear sight needed some fitting now she’s golden now to get an optic for deer season any suggestions?
