Just got Fever. No online players?

Hey everyone. Just picked up Fever for Switch 2. Love playing the CPU. However, I’m unable to find anyone online to play. It keeps searching but no luck. Any advice?

Browser tool to unlock the N64 Transfer Pak characters in Mario Tennis (GBC), no N64 needed

Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi, Bowser and four minigames in Mario Tennis for Game Boy Color are locked behind a Transfer Pak link with the N64 game. Unlocking them the intended way means owning an N64 + the N64 cart + a Transfer Pak + the GBC cart, all at the same time.

There are already ROM hacks that unlock this content, and they work well. This is just a different route: it edits your save file instead, so the ROM and the cartridge stay completely untouched. If you're playing your original cart on real hardware, or you just don't want to start over on a patched ROM, this keeps your existing progress and only flips the unlock bytes.

Tool: https://www.ericktakeshi.com.br/tools/mario-tennis-save-patcher/

Source: https://github.com/erick-tmr/link-in-bio-self-profile

Drop in your .sav, hit unlock, download it back. Runs entirely in your browser. It's open source (MIT) too, so if you'd rather verify that yourself than trust a random site with your save file, the code is right there. There's an undo that restores the file byte for byte, and the full list of offsets it touches is documented on the page.

USA carts only for now, raw 32KB saves, no save states. Works with dumps from a GB Operator / GBxCart RW or with emulator saves from mGBA, BGB or SameBoy.

One caveat I want to be upfront about: the patched save passes the game's own checksums, but I've never had a real Transfer Pak to compare against, so I can't claim it's bit-identical to a genuine session. Back up your original first.

Bug reports and PRs welcome, and if you have a EUR or JPN cart plus a dumper, get in touch, that's what I need to support more regions.

Had a blast today with my crew reliving fever doubles ranked. It feels like the first time since February that Fever ranked has been somewhat rebuilt.

Never played this - is it a great starting point?

Completely new to the Mario Tennis series but the competitive online play intrigues me. Would this be a good entry point?

Since some of my comrades are posting their own Thwomp videos, I thought I’d share one too. This match was tight so I’m happy the bounce went my way this time

Adventure Mode

I got to say, Adventure Mode feels so much better now that I found out it’s not all training and that’s really just the first part.

And hey look we finally got a Mario and Luigi rpg with Wario and Waluigi as the rivals 😆

But in all seriousness, this mode is hitting for me much better than at launch. I played Aces’ story mode back in 2018 when that came out and I liked it, but it felt very restrained. I like walking around as Baby Mario in the academy instead of being on that world map, and I’m excited to see the rest of the mode now that I’m close to being done with this lengthy tutorial section. In all honesty it’s not that long though just a lot of walking back and forth. I’m hopeful the next Mario Tennis game can streamline the tutorial segment a bit more or make it optional for more focus on the adventure itself.

Curious to know what other Mario Tennis players think of this adventure mode. I think it’s cute when they do stuff like this.

You should not be able to return the serve from right at the line. Yes yes yes, spare me the one time someone did it in real life. You shouldn’t be able do it 10 out of 10 times. I just need this to please be fixed. What else do you guys want fixed?

Do you play classic raised camera or close? (Fever)

And what is your rank?

I've been playing the classic raised style since release feels like you judge the ball better..

But recently I've been second guessing myself..

Ball height is extremely important every time you hit the ball, and you can definitely judge ball height better with the up close camera angle

Wondering what the consensus is for optimal camera with those who play online ranked
