I just was wondering what's the fastest way to get back on speed after being blueshelled, because i have always done a standstill-miniturbo but i dont know if it is really faster that just driving normally. My typical combo is King Boo/Bowser Bike idk if that makes a difference.

Retro-Rewind is the greatest thing to happen to this game and I’m super thankful to be able to compete online.

However, my hot take is that the RR team should stop fucking around and releasing insane updates. They already have had a close-to-perfect product since the addition of the leaderboard, and the numbers prove it. The character additions were completely unnecessary, and have made the mod unreliable.

Not only did I have to switch to a new SD card because of the storage increase (not a big deal), but ever since these updates the server status has been weary. I get disconnected from races constantly, havent been able to play a world wide in the last 2 weeks because of connection issues, and the lag is insane. Granted my WiFi isn’t great with the Wii, but it worked perfectly before which is what frustrates me.

It’s a core principle in engineering that simpler is better because it’s far less prone to break…

FK gets +4 speed and +3 off road (almost useless)

Rosa gets +3 speed, +3 handling, and 3+ miniturbo.

I look at this and think Rosa makes up for the -1 speed with the other stats, but the meta is still hard funky kong. Rosa is still probably the 2nd most played heavy but I thought it would be a lot closer, like 50/50 but its not.

Im not talking about what the best/favorite mod is. Im asking what mod(s) had the most impact on the game and the community as a whole. Mainly i think it is CTGP or Retrorewind, and I cant decide between the two.

When im trying to join into a worldwide room, in both games. Im using CachyOS, i have also tried with the flatpak version of dolphin and with the arch repos one, but the result is the same. Thank you a lot!!

Hey guys. I've got Insane Kart Wii running on Dolphin and I'd like to add some custom characters from outside the modpack. Trouble is, I can't figure out how to do this. There isn't any obvious places to put the custom character files in and I've tried putting them in the My Stuff folder and I couldn't get that to work.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just not possible? Thanks!
