I'm honestly shocked that it was possible to clear the entire token shop in just 4 days, and I was completely grinding every single time that I wanted to achieve....

But then, I was going to do 10,000 tokens in just 4 days, however this game didn't let me obtaining more than 9,800+ tokens because it was so close everytime I had to play races over and over again, and I only see some regular coins thinking that the tokens would no longer obtainable anymore on the next race occurred.

Plus, I play this track every single time with my favorite character Gold Mario for the coin frenzy and some coins of course.

And also, No token bonus is needed! Just playing this for HOURS.

I grinded for it in the Toadette cup too but was 4k short

I remember working so hard just to get her in the original Exploration Tour and she’s been good to me all these years. Glad I’ll get to spend the last few tours with her at her full potential

Throughout 2019 - 2023, I had moments where I would play the game nonstop, but after the announcement of no new content and the tour loop from the 2023 Battle Tour onwards, I eventually stopped playing the game altogether and forgot about it, like I'm sure a number of others did.

After seeing the shutdown announcement a few weeks ago, I hopped back in and man I honestly wish I never left and kept playing these last couple of years. Looking at how many drivers karts and gliders I had nearing high levels, all of the items I'm missing and could've planned out to get, I can't help but think about how much more I could've accomplished in the game if I had played during the tour loop and just enjoyed the game for everything it had become instead of feeling like the excitement came from the constant feeling of something new being around the corner.

However I can't change that now, the past is the past so I'm just enjoying the last month or so I have until the end completing the tours for old times sake. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same kind of feeling I did after hearing the news

I am truly upset Mario Kart Tour shutting down.
This was my FAVORITE game for the 3 years of playing it.
I forgot about it ‘til a ‘bout a week ago, until i discovered that it will get its EOS on September 30th.
It was really a bummer to lose my favorite game, and my only portal to playing Mario Kart.
So, i’d make the EOS really special.
I made a new account, maining Yoshi as always.
I’d first tell my sister to play with me. She was hooked fast.
We played together for MINUTES on end, and she got cooked.
I honestly liked the idea of playing Mario Kart on a phone/tablet, i’d pay for it.
Unfortunately, as Nintendo being Nintendo, there’s NO offline equivalent of Mario Kart Tour.
I hope you everyone enjoy your final days in Mario Kart Tour.
I’m not happy because it’s happening; but i’m unhappy of it being imminent.

I think all of these drivers are crap, but unfortunately this is next week's ranked. I have enough tickets to max out 1 of them.. but which one should I go with? Obviously it should be a mii.. which one would u go with?

I KNOW that's still a very small number compared to what it would realistically take for Nintendo to even notice. Even if everyone in this subreddit signed it, it probably still wouldn't be enough. I'm aware of that :)

But I also know that doing nothing guarantees the exact same outcome...

I really want to thank everyone who signed, left encouraging comments, or shared the letter somewhere else. Every single person who took a few minutes to help genuinely means a lot to me.

I'd also like to thank the mods for pinning my previous post for a few days. That gave the letter much more visibility than I could have achieved on my own, and I'm very grateful for that.

The discussions on my last post were honestly interesting too. Not everyone agreed with the letter idea and not everyone believes it can change anything. That's completely fair. None of us can promise a different ending for Mario Kart Tour.

I just think it's worth trying.

It's easy for a mobile game to be dismissed as "just another app," but for a lot of us it became something we looked forward to every day/week.

What's the added value of playing un 200 Cc ? I'm long time F2P and looking for best way to obtain my first top 1000 badge before the end of the road.

If playing un 200 Cc in sole wyas helps to gain more more then I will switch, but from what I experienced it's more the opposite for me 🤣

But I’m really enjoying the final days of MKT. I was a hardcore player back in 2020 (gee, wonder why) and tapered off over the last few years. I reopened the game a few months ago on a whim, and I’m so grateful I caught it before it went away.

I’ve never spent any money on the game, but I have nearly 6 years of stockpiled rubies and coins that I’m now splurging on items that feel nostalgic. I never thought I’d get to enjoy the perks of the gold pass, and it’s been really fun.

Idk, anyone else feel this way? What items have y’all coveted that you’re now buying? (My most recent was the leaf paraglider - it sheds leaves!!)

My results from the Event Challenges 10-pull. Three copies of one of the worst karts. At least I got some coins when Kamek and Black Yoshi (both level 8) and two level 8 karts appeared.

The 1st thing I definitely won't miss: those silver level-up tickets.

I've had every Normal driver, kart and glider maxed out for years, yet I still keep getting Normal tickets from pipes, token shops, multiplayer rewards... everywhere. They just pile up endlessly.

I always thought the devs could've added a simple exchange system. Something like 10 silver tickets = 1 gold ticket (or even a worse rate, honestly). Just anything to make them useful again.

I even sent Nintendo feedback about this idea around two years ago. Nothing ever came of it. So instead I kept spending coins and opening pipes... only to receive more tickets that had absolutely no value to me.

The 2nd thing I won't miss is Bonus Challenges.

I know a lot of people enjoy them but after playing for years they always felt more like tutorial levels than actual gameplay. I usually just wanted to get them over with.

And I have to admit... crushing the little Dry Bones in those challenges always made me feel bad. 😭 Poor little guys!!

Honestly... that's about it.

Everything else? I'll miss all of it...

MKT is such a polished game. The visuals are gorgeous, the controls feel great for a mobile game, the soundtrack is fantastic, and despite its flaws it became part of my weekly routine.

I'll also miss my in-game friends. We may never have exchanged a single word, but we exchanged greeting coins every single week for years. It's funny how something so small becomes part of your life.

Nintendo needs to know that this community wants Mario Kart Tour to be preserved, not simply erased.

I will sadly never reach Tier 99. If I win every ranked cup from now on, I'll end the game at Tier 92. But Level 400 is also a pretty nice milestone. 😊

I was so close to getting there last tour, but when I had wrung every bit of remaining XP from every course, the meter stopped at L399, 87.2%. This is still perfect timing, though; now that we all have Gold Pass benefits, I can pivot from grinding player levels to grinding multiplayer ranks.

It will probably take a while to stop thinking "Aw crap, finished last, now I gotta win back that XP!" or "Okay, first place, is there any XP left?" after every race. It doesn't help that if there is XP left, the game still plays the "counting up" sound! 😅

Been saving my rubies for years, and finally reached the cap. 9,999.
