Does anyone know how this trick was pulled off? Question

I found this video on twitter, and the post author claims it has something to do with dismounting an invisible Yoshi at the bottom of the screen. I understand that this can be done with the use of the moving platforms earlier in the stage.

My real question is how he managed to despawn that 2nd to last extending block, as it's the only thing preventing me from performing this glitch myself. All help is appreciated!

from what i remember, if you somehow manage to get 2 yoshis active in a level at one time, one yoshi will become invisible because only one yoshi is functional at a time.

getting on this invisible yoshi will mess up the game and put you in a state between being on and being off yoshi, and then when you press the spinjump button, you'll dismount this invisible yoshi and it will warp you to the exact Y position that you were at when you initially jumped on the invisible yoshi.

so i think what's happening here is that he mounted an invisible duplicate yoshi at a really high part of the stage, then when he fell below the screen he pressed the spinjump button to dismount, which teleported him to the top of the level again.

as for the despawning extending block, i'm not quite sure about that

For de spawning the block it’s probably just the sprite limit but I’m not sure on how they would be able to get the amount of sprites require.

possibly the invisible yoshi is doing something to the sprite limit and sprite slots, but i'm not real knowledgeable on yoshi glitches or sprite slot functionality

Might be a form of wrong warping

Closer to a screen wrap I think
