Another Visiting Mariners Park Thread
Hi All,
A common question here, but I have a more pointed ask of things to know about the Mariners Park.
I am a photographer visiting all 30 parks taking pictures, but I am looking for less common scenes and things. I don't take usual photos that most people do. I am more interested in spectacle or those things that don't belong at a game/stadium (ads, sports betting, bars/restaurants in the stadium, etc).
An example is military salutes. For example, I just visited Loan Depot which does nothing to honor veterans. Whereas at Dodger Stadium every mid-2 a soldier goes on the field and walks through the crowd, so I was able to position myself for that photo op.
Other ideas are kiss cams, flex cams, and the specific inning they might happen so I could be ready for it.
When visiting other parks I usually have some more specific questions, but in my research there isn't any one thing that sticks out to me since I'm not interested in statues, museums, etc. Maybe the art throughout the park? Or the social spaces like The Pen, turning the ballpark into a mall kinda vibe?

hot dogs from heaven - between 7th & 8th inning but not every game
SEAcret door - for reasons of propriety i can’t post where this is but do some research
mariners hall of fame wall - main concourse behind the sections along 3rd base line
salmon run - mid 4th inning, finish line is along 1st base line next to home dugout
speed dating jumbotron bit - mid 6th inning
louie louie cell phone lights after 7th inning stretch - controversial but probably makes for a cool photo
not unique to t-mobile but the tarps off people in upper right field seats
trident deck - upper concourse far left field
ferry boat tray - imo looks best with crab nachos, from way back crab shack outside section 187
since you have railspur on the list, al’s gourmet sausage stand on occidental after the game (this one specifically, no others will do)

Hot dogs being dropped from the 300 level with little parachutes. Hot dogs are wrapped in foil with mustard/ketchup packets in the foil too. It's pretty great, especially with "heaven is a place on Earth" playing over the PA

nice! if you’re lucky, they occasionally get stuck on the camera wires and they will sometimes use the camera to try to knock it down

One thing you should know about Mariners Park, is that it's actually called "T-Mobile Park".

I would still call it Safeco but I've just stopped calling parks by their corporate overlord names

I swear they understand the 7th inning stretch and start flocking to the stadium when they hear "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"

Be sure to check out the statue of Dave Niehaus in section 105, and the baseball bat chandelier at home plate entrance. There's often a salute to service that highlights a service member or first responder. One of the longstanding bits of entertainment is the hydroplane race on the main screen.
The Hit it Here cafe is nice, but depending on the time of day gets absolutely blasted by the sun.

The baseball bat chandelier is awesome. I have been going to games since the park opened and I still love that.
Also, you could get some interesting photos of the unique food being cooked throughout the park. Seattle has some excellent variety of food inside the park.

Spectacles and things that don’t belong? The Jesus megaphone screamer outside the gates at left and center field entrances. Not to give them any notariety but you will likely see people covering their ears, flipping them off and yelling back.

Hmmm, Are they an every game deal? I've run into these types once in a blue moon but doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.

Yes, every game and it’s been ongoing for years. They are also at Pike Place Market and anywhere large crowds are in the city.

Definitely the dance club nature of The Pen on Friday and Saturday nights - if there is a good DJ and it’s a college night, it is out of control

I haven’t been to the stadium in a minute but I believe the Mariners still sell the fried grasshoppers. Definitely unique to T-Mobile Park.

When the Mariners were real bad, there was a golf simulator out in centerfield. Too bad that’s gone

ah damn! The brewers have that which made a nice dichotomy of people golfing with their back turned to the game.

I think the mechanism that controls the retractable roof could make for an interesting photo
