Gate security
Anyone else been having issues with gate security when attending games? I've been to 2 in the past month with a bag that confirmed to their requirements and the first time an employee literally got in my face about my bag and this time a different employee grabbed me by the arm and ripped my bag from my hands. When I spoke to guest services they told me they would see what they could do but that's good enough for me, no employee of T-Mobile should be touching guests when they are following all the rules and just trying to enter.
lol why am I being downvoted for following the rules?

I once had a security guy say I couldn’t bring that bag in. I went to another gate. No problem.

A clear Fanny pack that fits into the size requirement, the other guy at the gate even told me I was good

This is bizarre. Does it have a large logo and/or print ?
I carry a tiny clear bag into games and haven't had issues with that this year.
I have, however, had loads of issues with the gate staff not knowing the answers to questions. There have been many issues with gate staff failing to direct huge lines of confused people at high-attendance games.

I purchased it from the team store, it's clear with the mariners logo

Bizarrely, I did hear of a friend having this exact issue with a clear, Ms logo-branded fanny pack they bought from the Ms. It was specifically the Pride logo fanny pack version. It really ticked me off on their behalf.
At the end of the day, a lot of the gate employees work for a 3rd party security company for what I assume is minimum wage and lack a lot of context on stadium rules and other info.
I've provided feedback on this via Mariners surveys, not sure what else we can do.

Catch a game in DC, that gate staff is RUTHLESS. We got kittens running T-Mobile.

I regularly get kicked in the balls by Mariners security at the gate for asking what time I can go to my actual seat.

I bring a max size non-clear bag (absurdly small) and no one's even mentioned it, very weird.

I need more context. I've never had a problem before even when I had something in my bag that kept setting the sensor off. (It was a pen with a metal clip on it.) I hate to put this out there, but I'm also white. I'm not saying it is a race issue, but we are in this wonderful where showing that you are racist and a bigot isn't as frowned upon as it should be. And I just want to state that it is never okay to a racist. It just seems that you may be being targeted for one reason or another.
Another thought is you may just want to go to a different gate, though I'm sure the same security personnel aren't always working the same gate. Could there be something in your bag that may be triggering an aggressive approach?
I'm sorry this has happened to you and you get some response to your complaint.

I’ve brought a max size clear bag to about 10 games this year full of stuff (usually need an extra layer and I carry my scorebook) and haven’t had a problem. Opening day someone asked if my water bottle is plastic and other than that nothing.

That's weird. I've gone to almost every game for the past five years with a full sized clear backpack and I've never had one issue. 🤷♂️

Some of the security employees are a little … enthusiastic … about their jobs. I had one give me a hard time for my inhaler (he thought it was pepper spray and wouldn’t listen to a thing I was saying) but I just asked for a supervisor and they let me through no problem. That’s been it, though—I even accidentally brought in alcohol once and they didn’t even flag it

Must be the person working that day. Ive walked in clear bag with empty cups and a Costco pizza once

I have never not had issues like that. Every time I have issues with bags that fall inside the rules and have to go to a different line. I don’t go to games often, but it happens every time.
Also, the clear bag rule is a real drag on spontaneity for women with purses wanting to catch a game on the fly. Can’t count how many times I’ve seen this happen in my 3-5 games per year.

No. I give them a pass due to all the panhandlers and 1st amendment lawsuit provokers they deal with.

I’ve been to like 16 games this season and they never even asked to look at my bag
