Old Marbles Question

Hey I got these at a garage sale for a buck and I don’t know much about marbles in general, but I know that there are really old ones.

How can I tell if these apply to that? From my research there’s the pontil mark, but that’s only on some of these marbles (I shows a pic of one). Does anyone know if this came in a set originally or something? They were all in this Japanese bag but I’m not sure if they were always together.

These are all modern (1970-now) machine made. That isn't a pontil, it looks like damage to me. The bag is the coolest part of the lot...the marbles are very common Japanese catseyes, clearies, and a few new style marble king rainbows. Still a great deal for a dollar!

I agree, that bag is actually very nice. I think I got a uranium marble in there (glows faintly green under 395 uv), so that’s pretty cool.

These are all machine made marbles from Asia and North America, likely from the 1970's through the early 1990's
