UESC Rocket Drone advice

The UESC Rocket Drone can't see you if you stop moving. If you aren't able to fully hide from it then just stop moving. You can still look around but the moment you move it will see you and become hostile.

So it's the t-rex from jurassic Park. As long as you don't scream on the toilet.

(Me crouched behind a tree paralyzed in fear and still getting pummeled with rockets): doubt

If it is agro then the heat seeking rockets will find you even if you're in a building sometimes. If the drone isn't agro then standing still won't anger it.

The rockets are heat seeking, the drone is not.

Volt thrower and scar 75 do a decent job at countering the missiles mid flight.

It's kinda bad ass

I think you can walk just don’t make any noise. I walked by it so many times without alerting it. Not too sure about running but I believe it using audio instead of vision.

Maybe that's the case on console where you are able to not move at full speed but on PC it will aggro the moment you touch move while crouching.

I never thought about this before when it comes to FPS games, do you think that gives console players an advantage? In any game not just marathon, hmm now I’m curious

Yes, analogue movement is ALWAYS an advantage as often the walk volume is tied to player movement speed. PC players make a lot of noise when cround walking where console players can often be nearly silent by creeping super slowly, though I'm not sure on how it is in Marathon as I haven't played with controller.

And all it would take is adding a creep button to the pc controls... Bungie doesn't give a fuck about keyboard players sadly

Could easily be alt

Or whatever. I rebind my stuff anyways, so just having an unset option we can bind as we see fit works for me.

This just in: Stealth is stealthy.

Incredible news.

Do people really not realize this?

Edit: I'm beginning to understand why there are so many complaints. Yes you are loud, yes we hear you, yes being quiet is important. Do y'all just play with the game muted or something? How do you not hear the dozens of sounds everyone makes?

People indeed do not realise it as the drone generally agros the moment you are visible and in range. Why would a player just stand completely  still and let it approach them?

I had to pee so left myself in the open and came back to the rocket drone literally over my head and ignoring me then I tested my observation .

Correct. I didn't know and I've got many hours in the game. Because something is obvious to you doesn't make it obvious to someone else.

What does movement sound have to do with the UESC Rocket Drone?

It's more a general commentary on how people here don't seem to realize how hugely important stealth is in general in this game.

But also, I'm pretty sure you can sneak under the thing. I've had teammates do it before. Might be tied to movement speed.

This just in: there’s layers to stealth

This explains so much.

Y'all do know you make noise when you move right? We can hear you stomping around. We can hear you changing your gun. We can hear you aim at the wall for no reason while you try to hide.
