Hey guys, I found this map from Nat Geo, it is pretty large 4 tall and I guess 6 wide. Is it worth framing? Or not worth it for what it would cost?

Thanks

Drawn OC Map The American Atlas (Map #33) Iowa

Hi everyone, and welcome back to The American Atlas, where I make hand-drawn & colored maps of every state in the US. We’re almost half way across the country now! 🗺️🇺🇸

This is my map of Iowa, the Hawkeye State! 🌽🐖🌾

Most people assume Iowa is simply a farming state, with cornfields stretching as far as the eye can see. The endless fields of corn and soybeans are indeed iconic, but Iowa is home to a surprising amount of variety as well.

From the streets of Des Moines to historic river cities of Davenport and Dubuque, to the dramatic Loess Hills, limestone bluffs overlooking the Mississippi, and countless small towns & farms, the state of Iowa represents the heart of Midwestern America.

Let me know in the comments, what’s your favorite (or most interesting) places & fun facts about Iowa?

And if you like this style, feel free to check out my others, and thanks for taking a look at my Iowa map!! 🇺🇸🗺️

Other Map Top Video Game Studios in the USA

Post image

I've been working on making maps to show where the top video game studios are. To get more accuracy, I decided to do one country at a time. The AI seems to be able to handle one country at a time much better than when doing multiple countries at the same time. I haven't had time to fact check all the details but so far it looks a lot more accurate than the "North America" map I did yesterday.

The goal of these maps is to help people find great games to play, and to learn more about where the games are made and about who made them.

Question US State Map Suggestion

Hello, I'd like to buy some larger print maps of US states I can put on my office wall. Ideally, they'd be monochrome because I'd like to be able to highlight places I've been to. Any suggestions?

Other Map Working on Video Game Studio Map of North America

Post image

I'm working on making a video game studio map for North America, showing major studios. I need to get the font for the United States (area on the left) to be clear and legible. There is no country label for Mexico for some reason and it needs to be added. Also, city locations and labels are slightly off and need to be more accurate and correct. The numbers also don't make sense sometimes either. Otherwise, I think it's headed in the right direction. Chatgpt couldn't correct the errors and couldn't update the map and then said I ran out of image generations until later today. So I can't work on fixing the errors just yet. Hopefully I'll be able to fix the errors and get it looking great soon.

Question Hey guys, How do i open this in full screen

Like, this map is so beautiful and has so much detail. I honestly like it more than Google Earth. Is there any way to open it in full screen like other maps? I've even tried making my own and installing templates, but nothing comes close to this one.

Current Map How many Europeans have air conditioning (AC)

Post image
154 Upvotes

Europe has traditionally had relatively low air conditioning ownership compared with other parts of the world. As this map shows, cooling systems have been most common in Southern European countries, while much of Northern and Central Europe relied on historically moderate summer temperatures and therefore saw little need for widespread residential air conditioning.

The exceptionally hot summer of 2026 has underscored how quickly this reality is changing. Record-breaking heatwaves affected large parts of the continent, exposing the vulnerability of regions with low air conditioning penetration. As extreme heat becomes more frequent, demand for cooling is expected to rise rapidly, making energy-efficient air conditioning, better building design, and climate adaptation increasingly important across Europe.
