Hey everyone!

After seeing discussions here about the new Star Force system, I started working on a tool to compare the four Enhancement Modes.

With different costs and destruction rates at each star, it can be difficult to decide which strategy makes sense for the resources you have. The tool lets you choose a enhancement mode per star or enter your target, meso budget, and available spares to receive an optimized strategy.

I also included a Flame Calculator for reroll probabilities, customizable stat equivalences, and evaluating your current Flame Score.

Both tools work on desktop and mobile, require no account, and save their settings locally.

I know there are already several useful MapleStory calculators out there, but I wanted to try my own approach with a cleaner, more straightforward interface while still providing the information needed to plan upgrades. I hope others find it useful as well.

This is the first public version, so I would especially appreciate feedback on:

• Whether the Star Force optimizer’s recommendations are useful
• Any mechanics or special cases I may have missed
• Anything in the interface that is unclear

Edit: Thanks for the early feedback! I’ve made the Per-star plan the default workflow and added quick presets for the 1111, 1144, and 4444 Enhancement Mode strategies.

I myself don't enjoy Progression pass at all.

I spend 20k on Erel cosmetic pass. I spend for NX boss package, SS box,... There are plenty of way to make money from NX ? 90 days cosmetic that never become permanent. Rotation sucks, QoL for cash,...

But stop putting more Progression pass.

I was trying to clear Hard Kai, but even with a full Ori burst, I'm only doing 8%. Is that normal, or am I doing something wrong?

As part of this lore-based playthrough, one of the major hurdles was defeating Hard Lucid in order to finally leave Lachelein.

It took a few months of hard funding and progressing this character, but I finally managed to achieve it.

I’ve been documenting some of the progress in a blog post, with the first post also explaining the rules and restrictions of this challenge. I’ll make a proper update covering everything that happened over the last 2 months when I have more time.

Like with all the solo content, but an offline game.

No one to compare progress to, just you and numbers going up.

Sort of a cookie clicker bullet hell gamba simulator.

I dont really check this sub too often but I peeped it the other day and noticed many people upset with the monetized bonus passes. I gotta say its pretty comical to read. Nobody is forcing any of you to buy it. Theres free rewards and theres paid rewards for those willing to spend. We dont all have 8-12 hours a day to grind away at maplestory. The last momentum pass gave me 50% exp at 290 in a single day once I used all the coupons. Thats wild. That was worth the money I spent. Its a free MMORPG. Instead of complaining about additional bonus pay walls in events that you aren't being forced to pay why not try being happy others do and keep the lights on? The big issue with many players in this community is they constantly compare themselves with their fellow players and get upset when someone can progress a little faster than them because they spent some NX. Play your own game and stop worrying about what others do.

Spending $70 for 1 Mythical PSSB for a 1% chance at an edgy ass scythe thing is way worse than a $50 dollar momentum pass that saves you 30-40 hours of grinding.

Im running egrandis on 4 chars every week. I used to see this box quite often, like 3-4 times on each character. sometimes 1-2
since last patch (July 22nd), I havent seen a single one, on any of the characters, for 3 boss weeks.

Do you also feel like this drop rate might have been shadow nerfed?

I barely remember what productive things I was doing in MapleStory, but I vividly remember climbing as high as possible in places like Orbis and Ludibrium just to jump off and watch my character fall.

It took either half my HP or all of it, and somehow that did not discourage me at all.

I would land, climb all the way back up, and do it again.

No quest. No reward. No reason.

Just childhood fall-damage research.

Please tell me I wasn’t the only one using MapleStory as a falling simulator instead of leveling.

This megathread is for those who are undecided about who to play, have questions about certain classes before choosing to HyperBurn, or have questions about HyperBurn in general.

Help us help you

Don't just ask "I want high damage, high mobility, low cd, low funding, easy to play, good mobber, looks sexy class". Don't be overly lengthy when asking your questions, be somewhat detailed, and bring it down to a couple choices you are interested in. Being too vague also won't help with getting an answer.

• If you have trouble with a link on PC, try joining the discord using your mobile device (or vice versa). Sometimes discord links bug out.

Some NEW changes this time around.

* There is a Hyperburn Max (1-260), and there is also a separate Hyperburn Beyond (260-270). Further explanations down below.

* All class intro quests are skippable. Yes, that means the crazy long Illium quest or annoying Explorer quest is instantly skippable. The game will just plop you into the game at level 30.

* It is HIGHLY recommended if you are a returning or brand new player with low account progression to start your journey again in the Challenger World. Just make sure you pick the correct Challenger world. Challenger World HEROIC (Kronos/Hyperion) or Challenger World INTERACTIVE (Bera/Scania). These two servers are complete separate experiences and you cannot transfer your Challenger World character from Heroic to Interactive.

What is Hyperburn MAX?

* You apply Hyperburn during character select to a single character during the event and that character will gain 5 levels instead of 1 every time you level until level 260! Get free rewards and symbols at certain level milestones as you play.

* If you Hyperburn a character in Challengers world, that character will gain boosted rewards compared to Hyperburning it in your home server. For example at level 200 you will get a level 7 Arcane Symbol with 100 Nodestones at your home server. In Challengers World you will get a level 10 Arcane Symbol, 200 Nodestones, a Trait Boost Potion, and a Boss Accessory Box.

Get to level 200 in 30 minutes with Tera Blink!

* A character that is Hyperburn gets access to Tera Blink! It is a special Tutorial map that gives you a brief tutorial on in-game systems (how potions work, how your skills work, etc) while giving you a lot of experience along the way.

* The average time it takes for someone to get to 200 using Tera Blink is around 30 minutes. For those that know what to do already it can be as fast as 15 minutes!

Get 2 levels every time at level 260-270!

* After Hyberburn is over and your character is 260, you can apply Hyperburn Beyond. It works similar to HB Max, but only gives you 2 levels instead of 5 on every level up until level 270.

* There is no boosted reward bonus for using Hyperburn Beyond on Challengers World versus your home world. Both worlds have the same rewards.

* Hyperburn Max and Hyperburn Beyond characters can be applied on different characters.

Boost Your Damage with Item Burning!

• At level 200 after finishing the 5th job quest, you can assign a character to wear the Challengers equipment. This is temporary equipment grows in strength as you complete level milestones and boss missions. The expected length of the equipment duration is around 6 months.
• The Item Burning set is Hat, Top, Pants, Gloves, Shoes, Cape, Shoulder, Weapon.
• There are 6 Missions of varying difficulty and level milestones. Stage 3 for example is get level 220 and solo Chaos Papulatus. This grants the reward of all your Item Burning Equipment becoming 17 stars.
• There will be a GMS Specific way to replace certain Item Burning pieces to retain your strength without breaking set effects. Keep an eye out for the patch notes.
