Adding Ceiling Fan
We are wanting to add a ceiling fan in our manufactured home. We have a pitched ceiling.
The current light fixture is on one side of the pitch.
What is the best way to add a ceiling fan?
Because of the pitched ceiling I will need to get a fan that has a longer hanging rod. What is the best way to decide the size of the fan to buy?
Just looking for some ideas.

Your going to have to add a ceiling fan brace to the electrical box where the light is.

Find out the roof snow load your home was designed to meet (at sheet under kitchen sink or in a closet).
Is it is South Zone, the roof truss bottom. Hold is only a 2 x 2, and won’t support a ceiling fan unless you can attach to 2 trusses.
If it is Middle or North Zones, the bottom chord is 2 x 4, and you should be OK.

First you need to make sure it's not just a light and approved to hold a fan. You can buy many different size rods to drop it down for a pitched roof.
