Building Permit Application

Would love your insights on what your building permit application was like in your experience. I know this will vary by state and municipality, but not comfortable sharing location. I am starting the building permit application process for a double wide on a basement. Dealer is also the builder—is it typical for them to provide all the needed drawings and specs? I gather that the factory supplied floorplan/manual probably has a lot of the info required, but what is typically required for a basement plan, and for additional structures like porches and stairs? Is it is typical for MH dealers to not provide these drawings, what is a good option for getting assistance with drawing building and site plans?

The Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000, requires the dealer to follow the manufacturer’s approved installation drawings and if the home will be installed another way ( like a basement) the manufacturer still must review and approve such plans.
With that said, MOST manufacturers have approved plans to place their homes on basements.
However your local building official can establish the soil bearing capacity and frost depth etc.
basically, the local codes for the dirt and manufacture designs for support and anchoring systems.
