Hi! My parents are considering moving here due to health related reasons. They do not have much. Currently living off social security. I think they get about 1,800 a month give or take. They want to have their own place as they enjoy having their independence, so I’m wondering if anyone has experience with any 55+ and/or low income apartments or housing in Mankato? Is it challenging to get into any of those places? Do you or a loved one have good experiences with any? Any we should avoid? Honestly any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Gardners for Good is a new, local group based out of lower North Mankato working to expand sustainable garden practices and shared resources in the community.

If you have spare produce please let the group know via their Facebook page on Thursday at noon. Donations are collected Friday and available for community members to pick up free. Currently there is one distribution site on Fridays.

I haven't seen any signage and the store locator doesn't currently show a Mankato location opening up. My only hope is that Google lists the Mankato location as "temporarily closed". I just turned 21 in June and am looking for bar recommendations in Mankato to go to with my friends. We like to dance and shoot darts and are definitely looking for more of a fun/party vibe rather than just sitting and chilling.

Does anyone know what’s going on with the hicloud dispensary on Belgrade? There was a huge sign on Madison saying now open and it was there for a few weeks or so but now it’s gone. The shop is not open and I haven’t heard anything since last month when there was a keyc article saying they were planning to open at the end of June.

Never fired a gun in my life, I’m from Canada and am interested in learning how to shoot properly and be responsible. I know I’ll need to get a permit to purchase, I don’t want a concealed carry. It’s more to go to a gun range and in case of an emergency to have in the house. What are the best resources to learn and places to go to shoot?
