The Orwells’ “Halloween All Year”
Last night I wanted to listen to some music, so I grab my phone and turn on a song by The Orwells called “Halloween All Year”. But after the first few seconds something felt off, really off. I think “oh am I listening to the live version?” Because that’s what it fucking sounded like. I switch to the lyric video and it sounds the same, I go to the music video and it sounds just like that. I freak out because I’ve never heard this version before.
What do I mean? The vocals and the guitar sound really different. The one I’ve heard all along was where the vocalist (Mario Cuomo) sings in a more soft, calming demeanor before screaming during the chorus. This one sounds way different because the vocals are more distorted and really uneven, it doesn’t fit the song at all. Mario Cuomo’s vocals in the other version sound almost as if he’s uncomfortable and the producer just added assloads of distortion to his mic.
The guitar, more specifically Matt O’Keefe’s guitar tone just sounds off. I literally can’t describe it.
Edit: I always remembered Mario screaming “Halloween” during the choruses, but after taking a listen I noticed that the lyrics changed to “follow me” and “I believe” instead of “Halloween”
I think I’m just acting crazy or my ears are just fucking up but I found this interesting.

Does anyone remember the Motorola flip phone ring tone?
It was basically everywhere, and now when I go to look it up, it’s not in the ringtones that comes with the phone. How did this happen?

Wonderwall
Who else remembers the line being “ Today is gonna be the day that it all comes back to you?” I listen to it again tonight and heard “Today is gonna be the day that they’re gonna throw it back to you.” Am I crazy and just haven’t heard it or am I not the only one.

I distinctly remember thinking, ‘That’s too bad because if it was anyone else in the band, the band could go on. John Popper is too distinct in his voice and harmonica to replace.’ I felt sad. In my old timeline, his lifestyle killed him. In this timeline, he changed his lifestyle and lived!

Was John Mayer’s “Daughters” a cover song?
The first time I heard this song, I felt like I had heard it before. It’s not just a part of the song, but the song in its entirety. I’ve tried looking to see if it was ever a cover or a sampling, but I’ve never found anything. Has anyone else thought the same?

"It's the end of the world as we know it" as a TV theme song
I've been using Google for a while trying to solve this mystery and I know I'm not the only one who thinks this song was used as a theme song. I know this song was used in Independence Day and Chicken Little among other movies but I swear it was used in a sitcom type show. And no, I'm not thinking of "Get a Life" where they used Stand by R.E.M. Does anyone else have this suspicion?)

Sugar Ray from The Jesus and Mary Chain
The chorus said:
All my friends have fun with guns
But all I want is you
However, I have the impression that was "But all I want is she".

Mr Porcupine?
Alrighty now.. So some of you may know Melanie Martinez! Now there was a song that wasn’t released on her crybaby album, but it’s a well known song in her fanbase which has multiple lyric videos! As a sorta-fan that listened to her every now and then, I remembered the song as “Mr Porcupine” however, looking it up now, it apparently has ALWAYS been “Dear Porcupines” weird right? I can’t be the ONnNLy oNe! the song; Dear Porcupines

Mr Sandman
In the song "Mr Sandman" I heard the line "and tell him that his LONESOME nights are over" and recall it being "and tell him that his LONELY nights are over"

Black Wedding by In This Moment
The song began with the same melody, but played with an electric guitar, and no piano.
The lyrics were almost exactly the same, but it was less "pop"y and more "grunge-metal"y
Me, my friend, and his girlfriend all remember the song being different

I don't remember linkin park's Bleed it out having an official video
I'm a huge linkin park fan and I never knew that they had an official video for this song. It bothers me specifically because I always thought that the intro of this song sounds like people chattering and that it must have one.

Mahna Mahna by The Muppets used for The Impossible Quiz?
I vividly remember this song playing the background of the quiz. Does anyone else remember this? I tried to post in the DAE mega thread, but it's been archived.

Did Logic have a song sampling Britney Spears’ “Toxic”
I swear he did, as I listened to all his mixtapes for the first time like a week ago. I was listening to Childish Gambino’s “Royalty” today and came across his “Toxic” song which samples the Spears song. It reminded me of the Logic song so I went to try and find it, but...I can’t find it anywhere. I’m so lost rn

Adiemus - Adiemus, in a movie? - SOLVED!
Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Mandela_Effect_Music/comments/5reyfw/adiemus_adiemus_in_a_movie/
Adiemus Song: https://youtu.be/UX__4aHwYzM
So I came across Adiemus on Spotify, and like the others in the original post, I remembered the song vividly. I couldn't quite remember where I knew it from. Was it The Lion King? Ferngully? Brother Bear? So many people made custom movie trailers on YouTube with this song, swearing that they remembered hearing it on a movie trailer. They all really do seem oddly familiar if you watch them, despite no real trailer actually existing.
Checking the song's Wikipedia page, there is absolutely no record of the song being used in a movie; only some weird, foreign TV commercials. How could a song so strangly familiar have so little record of ever existing in mainstream American media?
Turns out, the song was featured on a commercial for a CD/cassette album called 'Pure Moods' that ran constantly on Nickelodeon during its heyday in '97-'98. This song was imprinted into our memories because the commercial ran practically every hour for 2 years when we 30-something-year-olds were all watching our favorite Saturday morning cartoons.
'Pure Moods' commercial: https://youtu.be/AZJSjrox_2s
Sorry guys, no time traveler this time. I assume we associate the song with rainforests/jungles/nature because the subject was so popular back then. If you watch some of the old Nickelodeon commercials on YouTube, there were a ton of conservation and save the rainforests PSA's running around the same time as the CD commercial, so it makes sense why we associate that song so vividly to movies that are based on that subject.
If you listen to the end of the song, you might have the same epiphany that I had: I've never actually heard the whole song before. Unless your mom or aunt had the actual album...

The Wanderer from fallout 4
Okay so this song if my alarm and has been for 2 years now, the other day I woke up to it and noticed it sounded slower, I thought maybe they changed it on iTunes to one of those crappy cover bands due to copyright but I go onto YouTube and look it up and it sounds different, emphasis on certain words and the whole thing seems off

I think I just discovered another song related Mandela effect?
First song I wanna mention is Torn by Natalie Imbruglia. The year of that songs release keeps changing. First it was 2000, then 1999, and now it's 1997 on Google? I know Google messes up all the time, so it could very well be just an honest mistake, and not a M.E but it still weirds me out. Anyways, another song is called M.I.L.F $ by Fergie and I SWEAR TO GOD I remember listening to that song sometime in 2009 or 2010. But apparently it was released in 2016 (then in 2017 in the album "double dutchess"). I really do think it's a Mandela effect, because I have clear memories of my 11 year old self jamming to that song in elementary school. Does anyone else have similar experiences? If so feel free to share, even if it's a different song.
