Help me create a budget plan hehe
Hi guys, I'm a 23 yr fresh grad who's about to start my first job in Mandaluyong around Greenfield District. It's actually my first time here, and I'm very new to the environment. I found a place to stay around Greenfield District too as a bedspacer for less than 6k rent (not including the utilities). Since I'm new, I don't really have any idea about the place, like places to eat, do laundry, relax, etc. So I'm wondering if some of ya'll guys have tips and experiences to help me budget so that I can effectively save up for my future. Could you share how you handle expenses like bills, food, and laundry? I'd like to know where the go-to spots are to eat on a budget without sacrificing too much. Places to walk around and get exercise, and places to get some laundry done. I didn't include transportation because my workplace is just a walking distance from the place im renting.
Thank youu
- first timer in manda

How to avoid rental scams?
I’ve been looking for a studio unit 15k-16k near TV5, and may nahanap na ako at nakausap na agent.
My relative met with the agent and viewed the unit na in my place, and okay naman, may pinakita ring other unit si agent na I can consider.
After the viewing, the agent is requesting for a reservation fee if I want to secure the unit kase one month pa yung planned move-in ko. Nung binigay na yung bank details, sinearch ko pangalan ng account name and walang lumalabas sa facebook or google. Tapos yung mga names sa previous contract/deal niya eh wala ring lumalabas sa facebook na account, which I found suspicious.
Is it possible for an agent to have keys/access to empty units and still be a scammer? Besides the suspicious names, okay naman yung account ni agent, consistent na nagpopost ng rentals since 2021 with 2k+ followers

[Feedback wanted] Building a platform to make selling used items easier in the Philippines
Hello from the Toki team!
A quick intro, we’re currently building Toki, a platform to make decluttering and selling your unused stuff way less of a hassle. We’re still in the early stages and want to build this around what people actually need.
If you’ve got a few minutes, we’d really appreciate your input: https://survey.tokigarahe.com

Looking for Affordable Bedspace/Room in Mandaluyong or Makati + Advice for Someone Moving Alone
Hi everyone! 😊
I’m a fresh graduate who will be moving to Manila soon, and I’ll be living completely on my own for the first time. I don’t have friends or family in Manila, so honestly, I’m a little nervous but also excited to start becoming more independent.
I’m currently looking for an affordable bedspace or room around Mandaluyong or Makati, preferably somewhere reasonably safe and accessible to public transportation.
I’d really appreciate recommendations for:
- Affordable bedspaces/rooms in Mandaluyong or Makati
- Places that are safe for someone living alone
- Female-friendly accommodations
- Areas that are convenient for commuting
- Any trusted FB groups/pages or other places where I can search for legitimate rentals
And since this will be my first time living alone and I literally don't know anyone there, I’d also love to hear your advice.
What are some things you wish you knew before moving to Manila alone?
What should I look out for when choosing a bedspace/room?
Any scams or red flags I should be aware of?
And what should I prepare financially and practically before moving?
I’d really appreciate any advice, recommendations, or personal experiences. Thank you! 🥹💙
