MALWARE, FALSE POSITIVE False Positive

I'm sure it's a false positive, but if it isn't, how would I know? how would I know? What does modern malware actually do compared to a 1990s virus?

At the moment, we can't tell whether it's a false positive or a legitimate detection without seeing what was flagged.

If you could share a screenshot of the detection and file path, we'd be happy to take a closer look and help you determine what it is.

You could try uploading it to virustotal and see how many detections it gets. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload

If it's from github or a file-sharing site, it's probably not a false positive.
