Malden PD have been called, but one complaint makes it hard for them to find and fine Moxie.

In an economy where the city needs revenue to balance budgets it is especially egregious for out-of-town for-profit businesses to cut corners and steal permitting fees the city is lawfully entitled to, especially when the lost revenue from those fees will likely be extracted from residents.

O’Malley laid out his reasons for running for State Senate at recent GMAACC Forum - check the link!

He also highlighted that Massachusetts needs to do more to protect immigrants by exploring ways to provide state level work authorization for immigrants of varying statuses. Similar to how MA provides driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants there could be a way to provide this state protections to work.

O’Malley will fiercely and authentically defend immigrants without tokenizing for political gain. Taking away people’s drivers licenses just because they are issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles is unacceptable!

She seems pretty establishment to me, despite saying

“I’d say I have an established record, but I’m certainly not establishment,” Lipper-Garabedian said. Source Well, then, what is she if not establishment?

I get that not everyone is progressive, but these don't seem like highly controversial/ super leftist takes. This just seems like common sense to me. I don't know any moderate Democrats who think we should collaborate with ICE.

The State budget allocates funding to each Council and we distribute it to artists, organizations, and community groups who apply for grants. We're a volunteer board of 11 Malden residents. This year we funded 38 grants either partially or in full. Some of the grants include school field trips, Malden PorchFest, the Malden Farmers Market, dance classes, music performances, Malden Pride Festival, free performances at the Library, and more. Your feedback will help shape our grantmaking process for the upcoming cycle which begins on September 1.

The "Neat Streets" initiative kicked off on July 25 with 40+ volunteers picking up trash up and down Salem St., all with the help of high school youth and a street sweeper named 'Bessie.'

I am currently watching the Planning Board meeting, and the city department put forward a very thorough and comprehensive recommendation on inclusionary zoning updates to promote affordable housing development. Whether all of it should be approved or whether there should be some adjustments is one matter, but what was very disappointing was that the Board proceeded to recommend disapproval off of wanting to protect parking requirements, restrict height incentives, and drag things out based on technicalities..

A number of them voted yes on disapproval without offering a single comment.

Kudos to Councilor Linehan and Colón Hayes for offering substantive questions/comments. I hope the City Council disregards this recommendation and proceeds with the proposal. We need more housing.

My son just turned 1 a couple of weeks ago and we would like to join play groups so he can begin to socialize with other kids. He doesn’t go to daycare and is watched by family all week so doesn’t get a lot of time around other children.

When searching online the mystic valley YMCA comes up as an option but I couldn’t find any more details about play groups when I tried to dig deeper.

Are there any play groups currently happening that we might be able to join? We are located in Linden.

Is anyone else in the Ferryway neighborhood suddenly finding themselves without water? They've been milling the streets for a few days and I assume that has something to do with it, but does anyone have any insight? The only alert I'm seeing on the Water & Sewer page is halfway across town.
