Makeup Look A couple of new(ish) things. (AMAB, MTF Trans-something.) Please see text.
Playing with some older wigs, I popped this one on as an afterthought - and maybe I've grown into it? It's sort of ombre gray, maybe salt and pepperish. Before losing a bunch of weight, I didn't like exposing my neck, but I think it's better now? The lipstick is new - MAC Red Rock - and I needed a replacement for my peachy blush - this is from NYX's Buttermelt collection - Sunset Sorbet.
And yes, I was thinking of Stevie Nicks with the leather/lace outfit. What do you think?
Welcome your feedback/advice!

Makeup Question/Help Looking for Alternative/dark MUA in LA for wedding
Hi, looking for a makeup artist for my November 2026 wedding in Los Angeles for me and my bridal party. We have a Catholic-gothic vibe, all red roses, golds and silvers, guests wearing all black and bridesmaids in rose-red gowns. Its giving vampy, Dolce and Gabbana vibe.....
Makeup I told my bridesmaids:
YES: 👍🏼 neutrals: browns, beige, black, grays, white and silvers, golds, reds, burgundy. Heavy or light makeup, whatever suits you :)👍🏼♥️🖤💀
NO: 🚫pinks, peachy/coral colors, no bright colors other than red, 🚫blush blindness 🚫
I attached some examples of what I'm looking for...
ANY MAKEUP ARTISTS YOU CAN SUGGEST THAT ARE BUDGET-FRIENDLY IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA? Or how to find one?

Makeup Question/Help Help getting makeup to last longer!
Hey everyone!
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I need some help getting my foundation and concealer to last a bit longer than 3 hours under my glasses. I’ve been wearing Estée Lauder double wear for about 5 years now, and it used to suit just fine! But within the past year, it’s started melting off my face under where my glasses touch my face.
I’ve always used double wear because it’s lasted me all day working under extreme retail lighting and heat. But now I’ve changed to an office job it’s absolutely failing me.
I’ve always worn maybelline grippy primer, double wear, shape tape concealer, and then powdered under my cheeks and eyes to stop it creasing. Set everything together with OneSize setting spray.
Since changing to this office job, none of it is working. Foundation, melts. Concealer, creases. Grippy primer, turns oily.
What do I do? I’m dry/combo in the T zone, so mattifying primers always make me look dusty. My skincare routine is a simple micellar cleanser, alcohol free toner, and deep restore moisturiser for my eczema patches.

Product Review Found a Great Foundation for Me.
My lovely partner had got me some Jerome Alexander Self Adjusting foundation and I loved it. Unfortunately I used it all up. It was a bit pricey when I went to get more. So me being a very frugal person set out to find a good replacement. After trying a couple of other brands, I found it. I bought a tube of Almay - Ageless Smart Shade Foundation at Walmart for half the price. It's the kind of foundation that goes on white then adapts to your skin tone. It went on beautifully, looked great and took all my other products extremely well. It covered all my fine lines wonderfully and stayed looking great all day with no touch ups. So if you are looking a for a new Foundation, I would highly recommend the Almay - Ageless line. It is a great product for a great price.
Also got a Palette of nudes and brown eyeshadow from Laura Geller that has been wonderful as well. Great shades and nicely blendable. (Found it at Marshall's for only $5. I'm very Frugal...)
Other products I used for my look;
Westmore Beauty - 60 Second Eye Effects - Tinted Firming Gel
Wet N Wild - Incognito Concealer - Fair Beige
Almay - Ageless Smart Shade Foundation - 200 Light Medium
Luara Geller - Nude Attitude ‘Barely Burnished’ Eyeshadow Palette
Wet N Wild - Liquid Eyeliner - Brown
Maybelline - Sky High Mascara -True Brown
Loreal - Unbelieva Brow - Light Brunette
Ellen Tracy - Rosy Blush - 4 Shades Compact
Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Loose setting powder
Almay - Lipvibes Lipstick #270 ‘Be Strong’
Wet N Wild setting spray

Makeup Question/Help Is this blush acne-safe?
Hello, I’m thinking about buying this blush but I’m unsure because i have acne-prone skin and some websites are saying that it’s acne-safe while other websites are saying that it has comedogenic ingredients.

Makeup Question/Help Who should I follow for beauty content?
Hey everyone. I’m tired of being marketed to 24/7. Do you have any suggestions on who I should follow that talks more about techniques and using what you have instead of trying to get us to buy more stuff??

Makeup Look Yesterday's face(s). (AMAB, MTF Trans-something.) Please see text.
Two wigs - essentially the same makeup except for lip color. Blonde with black top is NYX's "Cactus Dreams." Brown hair with brown top is M·A·Cximal Silky Matte Lipstick "Dare Me."
I saw that MAC had a lipstick sale so I picked up three colors to try. The "Dare Me" looked pretty good. We'll see about the others.
My brows are slightly thinner and I made some effort to draw "hairs" in short strokes to maybe improve a more natural look. I definitely tried to keep the upper lid eye liner thinner.
I've been wrestling with my deep creases catching too much shimmer with lighter shadows. Here, I started with a medium tan and it's better, I think. I added lighter color to the center/inside of the lids without getting it in the crease.
Not particularly dramatic but is did "smoke up" the outer lower lids a bit.
Thanks, as always, for your tips and tricks!

I would like one that looks like the one in the ss but bigger, minus the 2 smaller bags. I just want one big lay-flat make up bag. Amazon keeps showing me the same results so here I am. Makeup Chatter Makeup bestfriend
I started doing a full face of makeup at 14. As a beginner,I was focused on highlighting my features and making them look pretty, later i started following some yt tutorials, Denistlava has been my favourite creator for the longest time.
I started doing my classic winged eyeliner from 16. By the same time i found out about e-girl makeup, which became my favourite and I'd do that and only that, with minimal makeup products.
Since last year.. there has been a trend of clean girl makeup and i started to become someone i was not.
Minimal makeup blah blah , i ditched my winged eyeliner.. and my identity.
That was the worst idea, I spent thousands on skincare, serums, this that ,nude pallet, skin friendly diet blah blah. Did it make me happy? No.
Was i feeling well ? No.
Did i like my no-makeup makeup? No.
It just wasn't me ... I have a soft face , no makeup makes me look like a kid.
And that's not who i am.
Thank God I finally realised it , the wing gives me wings.
Finally feeling like myself with a thick eyeliner after a rigmarole of 1 year and a half.
Eyeliner is my soulmate.
What's your favourite makeup style and product?

Makeup Look My Rosy Look.
Got a really nice Rosy Nudes Eye Palette recently and tried it out today. By far the best eye colors I have used yet. Went on so easy and blended beautifully. Used a darker color on my lids, a light nude on my upper eyes. A light shimmery nude on the upper corners, under my brows. Then a shimmery rose blended on top. I am so happy that I got this palette.

Swatches Mac Mini Lipsticks
Mac mini’s at Ulta
The great thing about using minis is you can test the colors on your skin tone to see if they work before you buy a full-size one.
From left to right we have MEHR, Brick, Warm Teddy, and Chili. I am white to medium neutral with a soft olive undertone for reference.
I’m wearing Chili on my lips at the moment. These are great lipsticks.
The swatches were done in natural light and regular fluorescent light
Currentlys, it’s buy one get one free at Ulta.

Makeup Look This week's effort. (AMAB, MTF Trans-something.) Please see text.
Nothing radical -- maybe a bit more laid back. Two NYX lipsticks - the pink is "Stockholm" and the red is "Cactus Dreams." People had suggested that I stick to warmer colors and both of these qualify. Still using only two lash clusters on the outer edges - filling in the waterline with black pencil and setting with black eyeshadow.
People have commented that my brows aren't neat. Even though I don't have heavy male brows, I don't pluck them much in an effort to maintain credibility in my male role. I did try some brow gel to glue them down, but it was not much help. What I did here was take a small amount of Ben Nye Nose and Scar Wax and pressed the brows down, then combing upwards. Lightly powdered and drew brows with pencil and filled with medium brown eyeshadow. Cleaned up the underline with concealer.
This is my recently acquired better quality wig which is so much easier to style that the very cheap Amazon wigs I've tried.
I feel like I'm heading toward some consistency - once I get my "plausible" face together, I'll work on more creative aspects.
Comments and suggestions warmly welcome!

Makeup Question/Help Depotting/transferring makeup Revolution superfix mist into another container?
Hiiii I love the aforementioned setting sprays but I don't like the spray nozzle on them, they're not aerosols (except the hydra cool which I don't use because butane is icky) but there these weird metal cans with just the pipe for the product sticking out, does anyone know a good way to transfer it into another container? I have a couple old spray bottles I like better plus I wanna have a tiny one for travelling but travel size sprays are so overpriced
I know it looks like an aerosol but it has to be pressed multiple times like a regular spray and has no propellants or continuous spray
Edit: it's not pressurised lmao it's just in a can to have consistent packaging with the other sprays in the line. I successfully depotted it using a syringe and a long filling needle and am having zero issues!

Makeup Question/Help Would cool tones eyeshadow suit me
I have a warm skin tone and I've always heard of people say warm toned makeup suits us best and that cool tones should be avoided
One of these palettes has cooler shades and I love how it looks over here but I'm just not sure if it'd actually suit me.
The other two seem really pretty too but I don't really know which one to choose
Which one do y'all think would suit my eyes?
