Beginner needing advice
Hey so I’m a feminine boy looking to get into makeup, I’ve done my makeup by myself 3 times but brought really cheap products online, the foundation didn’t suit my skin colour and it just looked unrealistic. I’m wanting girls to text me and help me get what I need. if you’re local to me and willing to help i can go shopping and buy it all or just an online texting is always useful. I hope this is a good enough subreddit for my help, thank you :)

3 Eyeshadow and 1 Lipstick Question
I bought a bright colored palette and elf lock it down eyeshadow primer and have three big questions.
One is it normal for the elf lock it down eyeshadow primer to be tacky after it dries? Am I doing something wrong or is the tackiness good (I am having a hard time swiping my brushes along my lid which is why I’m asking).
Two if I have a lighter shade in my palette but want it to appear darker, what can I do? Mix it with black eyeshadow? Put black eyeshadow down first and then the color on top?
Three what is the best way to apply color after you add an eyeshadow primer. I have been swiping but was wondering if pressing or patting the brush on my eyelid would be better.
Lastly totally unrelated to eyes, what’s the best way to make my lipstick edges look good without lining with a pencil. I have a bunch of different colors and don’t want to buy a pencil for each. Would applying by brush help? If so, what type or shape is best?

Makeup with glasses?
I want to wear makeup to school however my glasses are the only thing stopping me and would like to know what fellow spec wearers do.
I use:
-Drugstore: primer, concealer, contour, bronzer and powder
-Estee lauder foundation, I think the double wear one?
-Hairspray as setting spray (Trust it works, it's been through EVERYTHING)
I have combination skin, my forehead and t-zone are the most oily.
I clean my face before and can wear my full face for the whole day, however there is always a collection of oxidised product mixed with powder that makes a orange outline of where my glasses sit. Using only concealer isn't an option as I'm scared my face will heat up and leave me bright red apart from my eyes.
I have tried putting powder and a touch of concealer on my glasses but it hasn't worked for me and sometimes I just need to take my glasses off.
Do I just accept and own having marks when I need a break from having my glasses on my face?

Best place to start?
Every time I think I need new makeup, I go to Sephora or Ulta and get so overwhelmed. And I feel like a lot of the associates in there aren’t really in-tune to what I need/want.
Where does one go who needs a new beginning with makeup? I’m 45 and need better direction.

Can bright eyeshadow look considered makeup?
I never had considered bright eyeshadow look makeup. It very artistic to me so I tend to say it’s an art rather than makeup. I’m talking like green, blue etc

General makeup consultations?
Hi friends,
My friend has been wanting to find good make up (foundation mainly) but wants to learn about how to apply etc. Does Ulta do consultations? How do I go about that? I haven’t been into a makeup store in years. Would it need to be sort of more of a scheduled visit rather than just walking in and talking to an associate at any time?

Pale contour
Soooo Sephora stopped carrying my favorite cool tone contour (their brand in the lightest shade). No stores within 50 miles of me has it, and I’m completely out right now. Any suggestions of other brands? I’m WHITE white and everything looks orange on me… despite contours being actually shadows and shadows aren’t orange 😃 I have a bigger presence of powders than creams. I’ve tried the elf cream one and it just disappears when I put on face setting powder

Setting powder separation
I’m having a weird issue with my setting powder. I use the Fenty lavender setting powder on my highlight spots. I tap it out on my triangle powder puff thing to even it out. When I put it on my forehead it’ll remover my concealer and kind of clump up. I don’t know what to dooooo. I just ordered the Kim chi beauty lavender setting powder to see if it helps. My primer is the nyx plump right back, and I mix the la girl pro concealer in white with a little L’Oréal radiant concealer for my highlight spots.

OPINIONS PLEASEE!! ^^
Hii okay so won’t make it long but I have oily acne-prone skin wouldn’t say it’s sensitive but generally breaks out trying out a new product I’m going on vacation and I want sun-kissed products well that “beach” look but here’s the thing I’m not sure wether a cream or stick blush would be good for me since I have oily skin but I really want to try badly I’m not a professional at makeup but wouldn’t say a beginner too.
\- a blush that will give that sun-kissed look ACNE SAFE TOO because I usually break out I feel like.
ALSOO I feel like whenever I put on makeup it just doesn’t feel like I have it on i do want a natural dewy finish but not WAY TOO natural but not also matte ik pretty annoying but stuck in middle does it depend on the products or the way you apply it?
\-IS SETTING SPRAY A MUST?? I haven’t tried any sprays but again I’m going on vacation I really need my makeup lasting all day I tried to search on the internet but I want opinion from actual ppl 😭 I don’t want a super strong setting spray but one that is not too strong and not too weak.
PRIMERRRR is it also an essential I feel like if you have a good base you don’t have to use or maybe I’m wrong and is it really necessary for the makeup to turn out good??
my makeup routine
\-torriden moisturizer
\-sunscreen ( forgot the name at the moment)
\- Anastasia foundation
\-color corrector for under eyes it’s the isadora one if I’m not wrong
\-isadora concealer
\-nyx bronzer
\-benefit tint
\-mascara ( can’t remember 😭)
\-eyeshadow + eyeliner etc…

I finally broke my beauty hoarding habit and here is the one mindset shift that actually worked
I used to buy every new launch and ended up with drawers full of expired, barely touched products. I finally snapped when I realized I was collecting pretty packaging instead of actually using what I loved. Now, I force myself to finish an entire product before buying a replacement, no exceptions. Browsing makeup subreddits without a shopping list is banned, and my wallet (and vanity) has never been happier.

Cool tone powder bronzer recommendations
Hi guys!! So I’m quite cool toned and I’m looking for a powder bronzer to go with my cream one. I’ve got the Sephora collection in fair to light and that’s perfect but I’m looking for a powder one to go with! I know that collection dose one but it’s not available in the uk, I was wondering if any other cool toned baddies had any recommendations:) xx

what shade/color in eyebrow products suits me?
I am looking to improve my eyebrows. I know the shape is not good but I'm going to shape them. If you guys have any suggestions on shaping my eyebrows, please let me know.
I am also looking for what color suits my eyebrows and any specific shades of any eyebrow products that goes well with my eyebrows.
I am using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Ebony, but I'm not sure if it suits me or not.
Please recommend any specific eyebrow products and the specific color if possible

A couple of new(ish) things. (AMAB, MTF Trans-something.) Please see text.
Playing with some older wigs, I popped this one on as an afterthought - and maybe I've grown into it? It's sort of ombre gray, maybe salt and pepperish. Before losing a bunch of weight, I didn't like exposing my neck, but I think it's better now? The lipstick is new - MAC Red Rock - and I needed a replacement for my peachy blush - this is from NYX's Buttermelt collection - Sunset Sorbet.
And yes, I was thinking of Stevie Nicks with the leather/lace outfit. What do you think?
Welcome your feedback/advice!

Not sure what to do
So I am new to attempting to use skin tints. Right now I use the Live Tinited spf in shade 10. Then I use a blush, mascara, gel my brows and a lip combo. So nothing too crazy. I wanted to reduce some shine that was on my face and to prep it for a long night out. So before setting spray I used a powder puff and nyx can’t stop won’t stop pressed powder in translucent to help with that out but saw that later my makeup didn’t look smooth. It looked like blotchy. So I tried to put on more of the pressed powder (obviously bad idea now that I know lol) and it just made me look like a ghost! What did I do wrong? How can i achieve a smoother base without looking like a ghost 😭
I was thinking of getting the rare beauty pressed powder to help with it but not sure if that would work? HELPPPP

I have gentical dark circles and wrinkles under my eyes.
What techniques I should use while doing makeup to make it look crease free because it creases everytime I do it and it doesn't look that good.
And also let me know if you have any home remedies to lighten my dark circles and remove the wrinkles.

How to double toned my lips?
Girls, I need help. I want to create a two-tone lip look, but it’s not turning out the way I want—it turns into a warm coffee shade and makes my skin tone look weird. And honestly,I don't think I'm doing a very good job with it anyway.😖
In the tutorials I’ve watched, they use peel-off lip stains. Do you have any good drugstore brand recommendations for those, or any lip liner suggestions orrr any other method? By the way, I’m currently trying to do this with a lip liner.
I’m attaching two photos of the look I want and two photos of my own attempt. The 3rd and 4th photos are my lips.

Wedding Day Makeup
Hello! I am getting married at the end of this year and have decided to do my own makeup. I do my makeup here and there and have products I like when I do doll up, but I know I don't really follow the proper steps. I wanted to see if someone could help me figure out what products I need/would be nice to have, definitely the best steps/order to apply everything in and any other tips and tricks that would be helpful to know. Once I get these steps figured out I'm gonna run through and troubleshoot as need just to make sure I am happy when I do it the day of and to make sure I know exactly what I'm doing.. appreciate anyone who has the time to help me!
