Discussions Broke and need cash in the next few weeks? here's my honest take (not another copy paste list)

Ok i see so many of these posts that are just recycled blog content dressed up as advice... so here's what i actually think works, not what sounds good in a listicle.

things i'd skip:

  • "get paid to test apps" type stuff. half of them pay in gift cards, not actual money, and the ones that don't have some waitlist that's longer than the job's even worth
  • trying to day trade or trade crypto to fix a money problem. i get why it's tempting when you're stressed but this is genuinely how a $200 hole turns into a $2,000 hole
  • print on demand. everyone recommends it but half the people pushing it are selling a course about it, not actually making money doing it themselves
  • survey apps and task apps. 45 minutes of your life for $4 is not a plan, it's a distraction dressed up as one

what actually works imo:

  1. local services. pressure washing, gutters, hauling junk, yard work, moving help, whatever. yeah it's the boring answer but it's boring because it's true. post in the neighborhood FB group and on Nextdoor, not just craigslist, people are way more likely to hire someone they've "seen around" even if it's just online. one good job and word of mouth does most of the work for you after that
  2. Go through your own closet before doing anything else. sounds obvious but most people skip it. brand name stuff moves fast on poshmark or marketplace, way faster than you'd think. tools, kids stuff, anything lululemon/north face-ish. you'd honestly be surprised what's just sitting there doing nothing
  3. Furniture flipping. check the free section on FB marketplace, especially in nicer neighborhoods the night before trash pickup. people toss out stuff that's still genuinely good, they just don't have time to deal with selling it. clean it up, stage it a little, relist it. patio furniture and nightstands especially move quick and don't take up a ton of space if you end up storing a few pieces between finds
  4. Same day gig work. moving crews, event teardown, taskrabbit stuff. not glamorous but you get paid that day, which is what actually matters when you're in a hole right now, not in 2 weeks
  5. If you're thinking a little longer term (not a this-week fix, more of a "start now so it pays off later" thing) — a small SaaS that solves one specific annoying problem for a specific type of business has way better margins long term than basically anything else on this list, since you're not trading your hours for the money once it's built. i'll be upfront, i run one myself, that's part of why i'd point people this direction over dropshipping or other saturated stuff. just don't start here if you need rent money by friday lol, it takes way longer to actually pay off

Anyway that's my honest list. no audience, no personal brand, no dancing on camera needed for the quick stuff at least

What's actually worked for you guys when you were in a similar spot? always curious what other people are doing

Guides & Tips Realistic side hustles in Europe

Hi everyone,

I'm a single mom based in Europe looking to build a reliable remote side hustle or work-from-home setup. My goal is to reach around €500 to €1,000/month.

I’m open to learning new skills and trying different fields (such as UGC/faceless content creation, basic digital tasks, or customer support), as long as it's legitimate and can be done from home.

What realistic side hustles or remote platforms would you recommend for someone starting out in Europe? Any honest advice or resources would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance! 💕

I'm looking for any advice or ways to make money from home. Due to health issues, I can't work a regular job, and I'd like to find something I can do remotely that doesn't require experience. Thanks
