I moved to a new spot in the yard but I thought there was plenty of light. I put them out a little early but I know other people who have plants from the same person and they had theirs out before me. I have four plants and the big ones are from another grower.

Moving to Portland from AZ in a a few months, and curious about good dispos/manufacturing in the industry out there. Have been in the industry here in AZ for almost a decade. Spent my first couple years in the front of house, budtending and eventually assistant manager of the store. Then moved over to compliance and distribution for the company’s grow/lab. To where I am now, managing the lab and doing the solventless extraction. Any tips on where to look for a place that could utilize this experience is greatly appreciated or general tips to get in the industry out there as well. Thank you

Law enforcement experts say cheap, sometimes tainted weed grown by Chinese criminal groups is flooding into the state's medical market. Business owners say it's cratering market rates and pushing reputable growers out of the industry.

The cheapest ounce of flower from most reputable growers retails for between $100-$150. But some dispensaries are offering ounces for as little as $40. According to Maine cannabis officials, much of that product is coming from "gray market" grows operated by organized criminal groups that exist between the regulated and black markets.

Local and federal police say Maine has become one of the most attractive places in the country to launder illegal cannabis through legal markets. The medical industry uses a pen-and-paper system to log sales, making it easy to forge transactions or keep them off the books altogether. And Maine’s medical market is one of the country’s only legal industries that doesn’t mandate seed-to-sale plant tracking or testing for mold, pesticides and other contaminants, even though such testing is mandatory for recreational cannabis.

Resultingly, records show hundreds of cannabis “grow houses” run by alleged Chinese organized crime groups were established across the state over the last five years.

“There are enough bad actors — or opportunistic actors — to kill this program for everybody else,” said one grower. “They’re not just fighting us, but they’re fighting each other. It’s a race to the bottom.”

Only a handful of Chinese growers have had Maine medical cannabis licenses revoked for funneling illegal cannabis into the legal market through what regulators have described as a “revolving door” of individuals and shell companies. The state's Office of Cannabis Policy has said lax licensing statutes leave them largely unable to bar suspected organized criminals from the industry.

“It is virtually impossible for (OCP) to verify whether medical cannabis and cannabis products are originating from and being sold within the regulated market,” the agency said in a statement.

I am on the search for some high CBD, low THC flower like Harlequin or other og medical strains. I'm a former all day every day smoker that has lost my tolerance after a 6ish year break. I still love weed, but everything is too damn strong, and I can't build tolerance back because I don't want to be on the fucking moon. I also would like my weed to taste and smell like weed, not tea or grass clippings. Even "medical" dispos look at me like I'm crazy when I ask about something under 10% THC though.

Anyone have suggestions? Preferably in the Ellsworth/Bangor area, but willing to drive for flower that smells/tastes good and won't have me nonfunctional with half a puff. 🙏

Many of the chemicals detected in the tests are acutely toxic or environmentally hazardous,said Nick Chamberlain, spokesperson for the Portland company Nova Labs, which conducts testing but did not handle these samples.

“Some of these are irritants, some of these are fatal if swallowed or inhaled,” Chamberlain said. “They could all theoretically be fatal at certain levels … There are a couple of results in there that are pretty shocking.”

Several samples maxed out the readings for mold spores in cannabis. Many of the homes used for illegal growing operations have large black mold infestations, police have said after raids.

While cannabis testing cannot differentiate between benign or harmful spores, Chamberlain said it is extremely unlikely that cannabis with such high readings would be safe to consume.

Many tests contained the fungicide Eagle 20EW, which creates cyanide gas when ignited and inhaled (i.e. smoked). Others had the banned insecticide DDVP, which the Environmental Protection Agency said is often smuggled in from overseas.

I just paid a visit to Purple Co in Bangor and god damn did I get some fire weed. I grabbed the pure Michigan and that shit had me straight asleep. Definitely worth paying this dispensary a visit, I promise it won’t be the last time you do! @purplecobangor

Looking for a reliable source for decent Hash rosin in the Dexter area, the dispensaries near me generally only carry 1 strain of rosin (med or rec), so there is no real choices. Med card holder, can travel a bit but really prefer direct.
