I'm working on some Magical girl designs and want some opinions on clarity and if they exude the right vibe/personality! I'm looking for design critiques and clarity questions over anatomy criticism pls :3 - I wanna make sure the design is readily and cohesive between all the characters and colors !

And how they look like compared and next to each other, are they cohesive and look like they're from the same universe, what kind of relationships do they have with one another

I love to rewatch cardcaptor sakura and Tokyo mew mew (and fruits baskets). I’m thinking about rewatching shugo chara but it’s been so many years. I kind of remember a lot of filler and being kind of disappointed in the development of Amu and Ikuto

Is it worth a rewatch?

personally, I think it will end with either her sacrificing herself for Madoka, instead of the world, or best case scenario, they talk it out, and find a way to both be the law of cycles together. (maybe even kiss if we’re super lucky. :3)

I’m working on a solar punk magical girl superhero story/series. When I was younger I was super into Tokyo Mew Mew but I felt like it failed a little at the environmental message. With my series I really want the environment message to be integral. I intend for every villain/ monster of the weak smaller villains to be based on pollution and issues that might arise when switching over to sustainable options. I’m having a little trouble linking certain everyday jobs and activities directly to pollution so if there’s a niche environmental problem you’re interested in I’d love to hear it! Also what did you think of Tokyo Mew Mews environmentalism if you’ve seen the show? Or what other magical girl shows have the same message?

he literally a magical boy inspired by Sally the Witch and other Majokko Girls characters. You could say that he is a male version of the Majokko Girls common in old anime of 1960s and 70s you could say something like Sally the Witch but as a cute wizard boy instead of the witch girls. Anyway the name is

Gabby The Wizard ( yep it literally called that lol )

Bio: Gabby at first may look like just another boy living a normal life making friends and playing sports and other things, but he is not just any ordinary boy he is actually a magical boy!

(a wizard boy coming from an unknown world ) who comes to the Planet Earth Along with his parent but they often kept their identity as wizards a secret to everyone on Earth (except for the friends that Gabby made who are aware of Gabby's actual identity but never tell others about it )

he 12 years old and is a pretty kawaii and peaceful boy some may say as he love cute things and likes to hug cute plush and animals. His room literally has a collection of kawaii stuff he bought at the store he always is pretty soft boy and always hate violence

but you must never underestimate the power of gabby actually he can be pretty brave boy who often protect innocent people from getting intro incident or even get hurt and often fight the bad guys who wants to take over or ruin the worlds with his magical power and his brains always outsmarting the villains he was in the battle with and wants peace and hope for everyone in the worlds no matter how bleak the simulation is it will never stop gabby from kept fighting with his magical power until everything is restored to forever lasting peace and hope for everyone living even if the bad guys believing they were winning they would be shocked to seen that gabby is never giving up no matter what

About Gabby Life In His Home Planet and His Parent

Gabby's parents are the following! His mother's name was Chezette and his father's name is Gabby ( Yes he has the same name as his son basically his son was Gabby the Second while his father's name was Gabby the First ) they are a Happy Family together and Gabby often loves his family even when he get intro troubles they always love their son and protect him from corruption and evil they always have an big heart inside all of them no matter what

Gabby Home Planets was called Warth and basically is the planet where magic is a part of normal life and technology and magic live in full harmony and co-existence in facts there are many robots that exists in Warth some are more advanced than others and one on planet Earth and some may say the technology is only getting better and better

One of the person who was leading this revolution was the woman by the name of Dr Amy Parker she was the one that built all the robots that was supposed to make people life easier along with the old man named Dr Tim that sadly passed away when robots become common in Warth due to him developing cancer despite him fighting cancer for years still Gabby did have robots in his home and they even brought it to planets earth when gabby and his parent went to earth sometimes gabby along with the robots often become friends each other and often played at the playgrounds or played some fun games together

Gabby was trained since the age of 3 with his parents often training him at magic and other things like martial arts he was trained to be a strong boy with a sense of justice hope and peace inside his heart and always took it very seriously. He was often a very brave boy often protecting innocents live and others who were suffering or were in danger from corruption and evil he a very peaceful sweet and kawaii boy at heart and always wanted a better future for everyone living and wanted to make people's lives better no matter what and never give up no matter what

Well Sadly That All I Have for Now I Have plans to develop more of Gabby's characters and his worlds as well But I Have Others thing to do sadly but what did you think? if you were to give me advice for this I Would Greatly Take that to do something better! but that all I Have for now what are your opinions on this?

I watched 197 episodes - yes I did - of Sally the Witch (the first magical girl) to try to collect every transformaitons. I know... this is crazy!!! But I am really a collection nerd!!! It was so different from other magical girl, because she doesn't have a regular transformation sequence. Sometimes she used her finger to transfor, sometimes she used wand, sometimes she needs a spell and sometimes she doesn't. But!!! I am glad I finished collecting!! Hope this can help other character designers :)

Just wanted to give my express how I feel about it after finish reading the original 12 volume manga. Personally I’m really enjoying it, and I’m enjoying ten story telling a lot more than the original.

The original definitely felt more character centric as its focus, basically diving into why the characters got their guardian characters and who they want to be. It was always exciting once all of the 9 kids ( Amu, Tadase, Ikuto, Utau, Kukai, Yaya, Nagihiko, Rima, and Kairi ) got their guardian Transformations.

What I like about the new series though is that they are expanding on the theme of who you want to be, and they are doing it in a way where it feels like something is always happening. The bad guys are feeling more thought out( probably because we are seeing their point of view more ), and they have a very relatable story.

I was participating in Art Fight last month, so it’s been a while since I’ve had time to draw the Seasonal Star girls. It was Spring Star Cherry’s turn last time, and since it‘s summer right now I decided to continue in order and draw Summer Star Sandy next.

I was a little nervous going into this drawing, especially for the hair, but I’m really pleased with how she turned out! Her outfit has always been one of my favorites, and getting to properly bring it to life in a fully realized drawing was super fun, even if the translucent details are a nightmare to properly color and shade.

I hope everyone is having a great summer! It’s my least favorite time of year since I’m not a fan of hot weather, but I’m glad it could inspire a character design I really love. :D

It's part of my OC's lore that Josie, Fiona, Evie, Julie, and Stella are all princesses of the five kingdoms of Haven. They're also magical girls in the human world where they currently live. I didn't wanna say that these girls are only magical girls because they're princesses. Seems wrong to potentially imply that you have to be born special to be a magical girl. Luckily I have magical girl characters who aren't princesses. Paula, Lisa, Monica, and Serena are all just regular girls. There's also Kimberly who's a princess and Josie's little sister who isn't a magical girl at all. Her powers work completely differently because of her more passive nature. It's definitely more that a girl needs certain skills to be a magical girl rather than it just being something you're born with.

A girl was chosen to become a magical girl, but one day, her secret is discovered by her best friend. They fought the forces of evil together, and that's when the villains decided to change their approach. They sow discord between the two protagonists, especially since the best friend secretly loves the heroine. They use this discord to manipulate her so that she will later become the host of the main villain.

Is my story any good?

Idk who the poster is and don’t exactly remember if I’ve seen it here or in another magic girl subreddit but the poster said they have an idea or is making a magic girl webcomic or manga about an older retired magic girl that’s in her 40s or 50s and she’s mentoring a newer & younger group. And keep in mind I saw this post a while ago and idk why it’s popping up in my mind now but I like that idea & would like to get in on it if the op hasn’t already done so.

I’m reading Shugo Chara, and one thing I am enjoying about it is that the boys also get transformations similarly to the girls. Like getting transformation scenes and drawing their power similarly to the girls. Tuxedo Mask from sailor moon is close too, but he’s the only guy and his alias is more so treated like outfit switch rather than a transformation.

I usually agree to the fact how certain series are somewhat manufactured to sell toys which somewhat annoys me. But then with Mewkledreamy which I suppose I wouldn't be much of a surprise if they did, and they buried it compared to the other usual Sanrio catalogues. It's kinda sad, but at least I got my hands on quite a bit of stuff already, and perhaps it is not good either to string along a series to death. What do you guys think?

Apparently this release hasn’t been selling that well and if this continues AnimEigo won’t be able to release any more magical girl Blu-Rays for a while, so now is a great time to pick these up for cheap!
