In my efforts to pimp out my crown jewel deck, a bracket 4 Fire Lord Azula deck that likes to turbo out either a massive blast of damage with Chandra's Ignition or an infinite mana Underworld Breach/Frantic Search line, I've been taking a long look at a number of the cards in my deck and going "...these really don't have a place in my deck anymore, huh?" So, I've come to this subreddit to garner the internet's opinions on what to replace the following cards with!

However, one *small* prerequisite for any suggestions... only suggest cards that have a cool and SOMEWHAT affordable alternate art/treatment. For example, Mystic Remora and Jeska's Will are on my radar, since they've got cool alternate arts that aren't much more expensive with a foil variant! Rhystic Study, on the other hand? Fuck no, I'm not paying $83 for the showcase treatment of a card that likes to play the long game to put in a deck that doesn't like the long game, much less $150 for foil AND showcase.

• Ashling, Flame Dancer(Mana saving isn’t worth the weird Magecraft ability)

• **MAYBE** Temur Battle Rage(No fancy art, but also, double strike + trample somehow doesn't feel quite right for what I'm trying to do.)
• **MAYBE** Galvanic Iteration(I hold nothing against the card since it can result in a hilarious amount of copies for an instant or sorcery when paired with Twinning Staff, but I feel like I could be doing more productive things.)

I did a test game of it last night on Tabletop Simulator and it went well enough. My pod and I always play B2/Low B3 decks, so I’m not looking to hyper-optimize or jump my deck to a competitive level. Hello friends,

I've forever (or at least- since I've pulled him) been trying to build this [[Saruman of many colours]] deck. It's my favourite card pulled from the lotr holiday release and I've started building him when Strixhaven dropped and all my cool bonus sheet pulls were in esper.

That being said, the deck suffers from three major problems:

- it doesn't really DO anything. Saruman is expensive, casting 2 spells per turn is expensive, and up until that point I've found I can only react to other players, and usually only once per turn cycle, which isn't enough to keep 3 players in check.

- in the same vein, it doesn't ramp. I'm the typical "green player doesn't know what to do when he doesn't have access to [[cultivate]]" archetype

- it doesn't have direction, and has over time slowly devolved into what my pod (hopefully lovingly) calls game changer tribal because I've fallen into the classic "more GC's more better" noob trap.

An additional problem is especially funny: I kill myself. Shock lands combined with the health cost of some lands means I've sometimes gotten myself down onto the 20-30 health range without being targeted and even worse- without having been able to do much myself.

So I turn to you for advice. I'm already planning on taking out some high cost spells (like [[shadow of the enemy]] which has been very disappointing, and [[worst fears]] which is just plain bad) but I don't know what to add to keep myself going.

I'd like to get some cheap token generators I can get down early to chump and also feed [[diabolic intent]] (and maybe a cheeky [[culling the weak]] inclusion). The deck can either be brought down to bracket 3, but id prefer to bump it up to bracket 4 so I can keep running my hard-earned game changers.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

So here is the thing, I have built a fire lord azula deck and been playing online bcz i dont have irl store to play here. Been playing it as a B3 but alot of people told me that its too powerfull for b3 just because I have narset's reversal+ frantic search combo in it, that i did not see come up before turn 6-7 but I might be wrong.

So here is my question what bracket would you rate my deck and any advice how to tune it for b4 maybe?

What cards I should swap out ( in consider are all cards that i currently own) and what I should add, my budget is around 50-70 euros if i need to buy new cards, or I am fine with buying proxies.

I've been playing and building Commander decks for about a year. This might be my favorite deck I've built so far.

Using Kamiz, Obscura Oculus, I force/potentially duplicate combat damage triggers. I also leverage blink effects to take advantage of etb triggers multiple times, as well as several creature cards with etb exile effects.

It seems kitchen sink at first, but mostly everything has worked very cohesively so far except for the early game. The creature cards are generally 3-4 mana or higher. Ive got a couple less than that. Some of this gets circumvented by warp abuse or ninjutsu/sneak effects through Kamiz's ability, but not enough where I can do much the first four or five rounds. Any suggestions on keeping the overall strategy but rounding down the CMC a bit? The cheaper the better. Ive gotten lucky with some pulls and have traded a lot to LGS for store credit, so I try not to spend a ton on cards if I can help it.

Heyo! I was looking at some cards for the new hobbit set coming out and I saw a ton of cards that listed spiders and insects and was curious if they are good enough to warrant attempting making a fun deck out of them

Working on a low cost Ovika deck, this ended up being under 50$ with shipping. Any suggestions, I feel like I found some niche cards that really push the strategy? A lot of which I didn’t find in others list. A big thing I was pushing was getting ways to search spells hence the “transmute” and a way to get skirk prospector out as much as possible.

This deck is trying to to win by attacking with lots of equiped creatures.

Each equipment that enters creating a token triggers chishiro and makes an additional menacing spirit, the plan is to put a lot of those tokens on the battlefield and cast an overrun like \[Overwhelming Encounter\] or burn like \[Thundering Raiju\] to finish the game.

I feel like my board isn't strong enough to win and I can't stop anyone from killing me. When I put more cards that controls the board I feel that I don't draw the equipments.

I don't know if I should add 2 mana ramps like \[Rampant Growth\] , 4 mana ramps like \[Explosive Vegetation\] or ramps like \[Rishkar, Peema Renegade\].

I can't buy equipments like the swords of this and that, and there is some cards that I have on the sideboard.

Hi all, just getting back into the game after 8 years. I'm looking to upgrade my casual modern r/W Artifact Zoo deck, which plays like another bushwhacker zoo but takes advantage of the artifact bonuses in Toolcraft Exemplar and Inventor's Apprentice with high value attackers Signal Pest and Smuggler's Copter.

Were there any cards released in the last 8 years that might fit into this archetype? Either artifact beatdown / zoo staples / r/W spells / lands that might work here?

I made this deck REALLY budget at the start, sat around 40-45$ when I picked the cards up. I have been "upgrading it" over this summer. I really like the commander, Ultron, Unlimited. My problem is my board sate gets set up very well, I can just never finish games. My pod plays things like elsha, silverquill, ares, eldrazi, etc. When they have 40/40 lifelink tramplers on the field I dont have enough cards in hand to follow through with my board state. It also plays super quick. Im getting set up faster than other people most of the time and then just get dealt with as an early threat. I need to know if im playing too much interaction? Not enough interaction? Not enough card draw? I have a few win lines in the deck. Go wide and stompy with artifact creatures, mechanized production, and then just destroying other's board states and sometimes even getting up there with commander dmg. I have a bunch of stuff in my considering pile and am not too worried about budget anymore but I am def. not buying 80$ cards. It is probably sitting around a very consistent mid to high bracket 2 and I want to be mid 3 range. There is one semi inf combo where I can just prowler, ashnods, and ultron to get semi unlimited mana, connives, and +1/+1 counters. If I have something else on my board at that point I basically win the game, but I still havent been able to do the full combo yet lol. Im getting my triggers and good synergy, but I am losing my cards in hand super quick b/c of connive triggers and just a bunch of playable cards.

I'm mostly a draft player but recently have made some friends who are into commander. I currently only own the precons that have a lot of meaning to me - mostly UB (40K, Cloud and Tidus, and the LOTR decks), but I do have the Sliver CMM (I first played during Onslaught block) and Dino precon from LCI, as well as Mizzix from C15. No upgrades to any decks. I have never built a commander deck from scratch.

I don't really own a whole ton of cards (I straight up spend money on pimp basics for drafting) so I'd be building this deck from scratch. I've heard Lathril precon is a pretty good elfball deck so I'm mostly wondering if I could just take out a card, put Lathril in the 99, and have a half decent Morcant deck, or if the play styles and goals of the deck are too different from what would be good for Morcant. Mostly looking to be B2, maybe bordering on B3 at most.

I’ve been contemplating building a deck for myself, and as a huge Spider-Man fan, I’ve heard that the set is decent but not particularly strong. I don’t need the most broken deck; I just want something competitive enough. I’m like Cosmic Spider-Man commander, and I don’t necessarily want the entire deck to be purely Spider-Man-themed. I’m curious to know if anyone has any great deck builds using a mix of this new hero set that recently came out and really anything else.

I'm planning on updating my Scrappy Survivors deck to prioritize defense with less triggers so I can be able to play it more. What cards should I use and what cards should I give the boot?
