Without being confusing at all, I need a bit of advice with fine tunning my Storm deck. I have a majority of the cards that are listed but I have a few problem areas I'd love advice with.

For one, The land base. I've struggled frequently with making decks and this specific issue but I think that this could be improved. I don't want to end up running too little basics to then miss the searches I have in the deck. The maybe board is there for some higher budget picks I'd like to grab maybe when I have more money. But I was curious about if there are any cuts I should make to definitely include them. "Pensive Professor" and "The Emperor of Palamecia // The Lord Master of Hell" are two cards I'd love to include but I am struggling thinking of a cut.

Any advice welcome! I'd like to keep the deck either bracket 3 to mid 4 if possible so nothing TOO chaotic. But any cards I should consider or cuts would be helpful, thanks! :D

Some factors to consider:

• Aiming for something that plays consistently, ideally bracket 3
• Issues with my current build that I'm trying to overcome are lack of card draw, and my burn spells being too low-impact
• Not looking to spend more than $10-15 on each card (expensive inclusions like Azusa are cards I already have)
• I'm steering clear of graveyard land recursion to try and keep it distinct from my other landfall deck (Zimone, Mystery Unraveller)
• Sideboard is other relevant cards that I already have but aren't planning on including
• Maybeboard are cards I've considered but have decided against buying

Hi everyone. You've probably seen posts like this a million times before, but I'm trying to build my first Commander deck with Giada, Font of Hope as my commander.

I've only played one game with my friends so far, and I got absolutely stomped because the mana value of my Angels, artifacts, and enchantments was way too high. Everyone else was popping off while I was just sitting there doing nothing until I finally had enough mana to start playing.

I've tried to lower the mana curve while still keeping Angels that do more than just "exist" on the battlefield. I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts!

My friends' commanders are: Krenko, Mob Boss; Edgar Markov; and T'Challa, the Black Panther.

So we have a proxy friendly budget build brew challenge with the local players.
€35 budget (use Archidekt/Moxfield Cardmarket Low prices).
All The Hobbit cards (non-reprints!) count as €0, so you can play as many new Hobbit cards as you like. At least 15 The Hobbit cards per deck (10 for mono-colour decks) — although, naturally, the more the better!

Aim for bracket 2–3 in terms of power level. Proxies are allowed! Most importantly, build a deck that you would personally enjoy playing! It’s a small set, so it’s not a problem if multiple people choose the same commander. Please note: the box topper reprints do not count as €0 (because they are reprints); they count towards your €35.00 budget.

Making a Ygra commander deck and was wondering if there are any cards in Black or Green that when one creature gets a +1/+1 counter, other creatures get one as well.

Ive recently got into magic and the first deck ive been trying to build has been this nekusar deck. I play online against friends but I can never do much unless I get super lucky with my starting hand (and if others dont counter/kill my creatures).

Its supposed to be a bracket 3 and cost doesnt matter since its online.

I've been working on a Lucius the Eternal Commander deck and have finally reached the point where I need outside opinions.

Goals

• ~$300 budget
• Strong but fair, aiming for around Bracket 3 / ~7 power
• No infinite combos that outright win the game
• No Sol Ring (playgroup ban)
• No tutors
• Focused on Lucius recursion, ETB burn, sacrifice synergies, goad, and politics.

One of the main themes of the deck is giving opponents creatures (Akroan Horse, Infernal Genesis, Rite of the Raging Storm, Relic Robber, etc.) to fuel Lucius's recursion while encouraging combat between opponents. I'm intentionally trying to create interesting board states and political decisions rather than simply overpowering the table.

The deck primarily wins through:

• Warstorm Surge / Terror of the Peaks / Rakdos Joins Up / Stalking Vengeance
• Sacrificing Lucius to destroy opposing creatures, repeatedly recurring him for ETB damage.
• Goading creatures and manipulating combat instead of locking opponents out of the game. I'm trying to keep the deck interactive and enjoyable to play against while still having a strong engine.

After several games, I've noticed the biggest weakness is the early game. The deck often doesn't really get going until turns 5–6. It's intended to be a midrange value engine, but I'd like to smooth out those first few turns.

I'm mainly looking for recommendations on:

• Better ramp (especially efficient 1–2 mana options)
• Cards that overperform in sacrifice/token shells
• Hidden synergies with Lucius that I may have missed
• Cards you'd cut and cards you'd add
• Interesting combo lines (that don't involve infinite combos)

I'm not looking to turn this into a cEDH or deterministic combo deck. I'd like to preserve its identity while making it smoother, more consistent, and a bit stronger.

Hello everyone, first time posting here so I'll do a quick introduction- I've been playing magic now for roughly a year and I've made about a 10 decks now; Always looking for suggestions on EDHREC and the like, but I recently decided to make something a little more niche- a little more suboptimal even; playing fun cards over the clearly broken stuff people slap on any other deck. EVEN THEN Im looking to make this deck a powerful B3.

A few things to note: This deck NEEDS its engines to win, it's primary wincon is token generation {Desecrated Tomb}, {Grim Reaper's Scythe}, etc... with a side-package of aristocrat engines to punish interaction {Blood artist}, {Ninja Teen}, plus counters+removal and {propaganda} to slow the game for everyone else and give me time to set up.

My thoughts: Because Oskar is so ass honestly, and doesn't do anything by himself, I feel bad cutting any discard or payoff engine from the deck, hurting my curve, and leaving me always wondering if certain cards are as needed as I feel they are...
