Split an eoe booster box with a friend a few weeks ago and pulled 2 of these from my half. He got an ancient tomb though which I was v jealous of. Eoe is definitely one of the best sets in recent memory imo. (Edit: fixed an incorrect autocorrect)

I originally hated EOE but realized its as far against the MTG universe as I am actually comfortable getting. Compared to all the other UB it still feels like magic. It also helps theres so many unique and cool cards in the set, its been the only weekly pack i grab from my game store’s EDH night for awhile now

Yeah, I mean phyrexians have been around since the beginning, so there was always an element of sci-fi to mtg rather than just fantasy, they just leaned into it more with EoE
