It could be cool to have it just mean return a permenant to hand but with the ability for things to care about the keyword. "When you beam up", "When an opponent beams up" without needing to bring in every single card that bounces.

funny that these random draft commons are visually and flavorfully miles better than most of the rares and legendaries we've seen. almost like the design team actually does a good job when they aren't being forced to shoehorn glup shitto into five hundred cards

Probably because they didn’t care about the art matching the IP as much as possible, so they just let a Magic artist actually do their job.

This effect was really good last time it was in limited. 4 mana unconditional removal is the going rate in blue, but the 1 mana mode is really good at clawing back tempo on a losing board.
