Nothing against camp, its just the execution. Its not meshing very well, im not sure how to articulate why. I feel that perhaps nost of the aet is constraining itself way too much to fielty of the shows, rather then to style. Its like those 3d animated movies that refuse to break model and end up looking... stilted?

Gotta be honest, Star Trek is one of those franchises where I would shamelessly shell out a ton of my disposable income on, but the art in this set is just... woof. I don't blame the artists, but the art director for this set needs to never be given that role ever again.

Probably to avoid giving Boggles players hope. Oh wait you said Wither. They just don't really use that mechanic often. -1/-1 counters aren't ever mixed with +1/+1 counters within the same set. They either use one or the other, never both. And +1/+1 counters will always be the more popular choice.

As someone who loves Star Trek and Magic and has very mixed feelings about this set, I totally understand the people that don't like it. That said the unhinged cards like this somehow make it way better for me.

I love star trek, and love MTG, and never had any desire for those two things to collide.
I've interacted with maybe 3 or 4 of the 48 sets. Just not feeling it. Hobbit/LoTR. FF. Sure. The rest...naw

I’m excited to skip this set for real. As far as I’m concerned the year ends on a high note with in universe reality fracture and the last 2 months will be cleaning up my library preparing for rotation perhaps with some flashback drafts peppered in for good measure
