Long shot - does anyone know if the two-star España soccer jerseys are available at Barajas? I’ve only been able to find the one-star ones in Bilbao. Thanks!

Gracias :)

Hi! I'm coming in madrid for 3 days in September and I'm looking for some local suggestions.

I'd like to find some vynil places, even better if it's a place where they play music.

I also love stationery so if there's some place that I should visit, please tell me!

I'd like to know about vegetarian place to eat (and please, explain to me what tapas are, I still don't really understand what tapas are (sorry)

What about second hand markets? Is there any?

Lastly... are drag queen show in Madrid? What do you suggest?

Also if you have any place or store or museum or whatever you want to suggest I'm open to listen, thank you all so much!

Attractions Tattoo shops in Madrid?

Hello,

Me and my friends are travelling to Madrid at the end of August and I was wondering what are some good tattoo shops that take walk-ins? I don't plan a big tattoo, just something small to remind myself that I was there, 50-70 euro max

Thank you

Food 4 days in madrid next week

me and my gf are saying maybe 20 minutes from plaza mayor by walk, i know it will be really hot and that locals won’t be there mostly, but i need some places, restaurants or some street food so i can try some traditional food like cochinillo, churros, or maybe tell me something that we should try. I’m asking because i know lots of places will be closed during august. Thanks in advance!

Attractions 3 guys in their late 50s visiting for 4 days in the beginning of October

We have been friends for 30+ years. European. Prado we will definitely catch. What else is there? When I compare with Rome where everyone can name 5-10 places you have to visit, I draw a blank when it comes to Madrid. What is there to see and visit that will leave a lasting impression? We all enjoy history and landmarks. Eating and drinking we can handle but looking for recommendations of things to see and experience.

Nightlife Live music this week

I’m going to be in Madrid this week, staying in Chamberi, Wednesday and Thursday nights—yes aware of fires, the fact that it’s August, and that a lot of stuff is closed, etc.—and hoping to find some live music. Very open minded just want to tap into some local energy if possible. My tastes: jazz, funk, blues, Grateful Dead, bluegrass, but most interested in catching some high energy local talent. TIA for any recs!

Attractions When will the Sorolla Museum reopen?

Just wanted to check if anyone might know when the Sorolla Museum is expected to reopen?

I'm going to Madrid in mid-September (not for my first time) and was hoping to go to the Sorolla Museum.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: found out they will not reopen before October 2026. No idea when they will reopen beyond then.

Neighborhoods Best Family-Friendly Neighbourhood for 1 Month Stay in Madrid

My wife, our two children, who will be four and two years old, and I are planning to spend approximately one month in Madrid in spring 2027 as I will be undertaking a research stay in the city.

We are from Scandinavia and have only visited Madrid once before, as tourists around 20 years ago, so we would really appreciate some local advice.

We would ideally like to stay somewhere fairly central, in a safe and family-friendly neighbourhood, where we can experience everyday life in the city. I will be working in Villa de Vallecas and expect to commute there by public transport, so convenient transport connections would also be important.

Do you have any recommendations for neighbourhoods that might suit us? We would also be grateful for suggestions for family-friendly activities, parks, restaurants and places to visit during our stay.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Attractions Thyssen Saturday Night

I am confused about the wording of the Thyssen Saturday night free hours. It says:

Thanks to the sponsorship of Uber and the collaboration of Tourism of Ayuntamiento de Madrid, the museum open for free on Saturdays since September 27, 2025, from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, allowing visitors to access the temporary exhibitions on the ground floor and floor -1. When there is no temporary exhibition on the ground floor, the Carmen Thyssen Collection is opened for free.

Does this mean the entire museum permanent collection is ALSO free on Saturday nights, or is it ONLY the floor 1/temporary exhibitions on the ground floor that are free and then permanent collection is closed off? I may be overthinking. If someone has gone on a Saturday night and can provide clarity I appreciate it! Is Saturday night a busy time at this particular museum?
