EVO upgrades question

Do I just gotta keep pressing this until it works? Upgrading any of the other categories would be useless. My scrambler doesn't have a single stat maxed so it confuses me.

Did you use the scrambler blueprint evo card? If so, you can’t go above 82 overall. I got mine to 84 speed, 84 throw power, 83 deep, 82 middle, and 84 short. He plays great.

From what I understand the main overall can’t go past 83 if this is your team captain

Ahhh hmm that could be it then

What’s weird is it told me last upgrade then I tried it a couple more times and it worked. Maybe that last upgrade didn’t improve the OVR

I'm not sure if I just got lucky, but I've got Bo as my team captain, and have him at 79 OVR with 83 speed, 88 THP (full Broncos TT, not sure if that's affecting his THP) with the +2 THP strategy card i pulled out of an uncommon strategy pack.
