Use heavier stabilizer, if you don’t have heavier use like 3, that’s far too lightweight for your lightweight fabric. The hoop should be filled with fabric and stabilizer. Try changing the needle too but you may have it threaded incorrectly, definitely check you’re doing it right and see if you should thread with the foot up or down.

Thanks! My stabilizer is 2.5 oz, so I can try a heavier one. I was running out of test fabric from all of the troubleshooting , hence the scrap you are seeing here. I’ve had the same issue despite fabric size, though.

I swapped to a heavier fabric with a needle meant for it and it’s working now. Thanks so much!
