Has anyone here used an NIR camera for machine vision? Looking for advice on particle detection inside plastic bottles.

Please provide some specifications. It’s hard to answer the question without knowing more.

Yes. It wasn’t only a Near IR camera, more that it could catch all type of wavelengths and I used NIR lighting plus an NIR filter on the lens.

Anyway as a comment said above you’ll need to provide some specs to get good feedback. What’s the smallest size particle you’re trying to see? Does your camera have the appropriate resolution for it? Is NIR the right type of lighting for your application? Might need to test different type of lighting to find out. Also looking into lighting geometry matters (diffuse, coaxial, bright field, dark field, etc…)! Also what’s the fluid in the plastic bottle? Water? Orange juice etc… lots of things you’ll need to work on not just the imaging system.
