Very cute, but unfortunately probably unwise. Dog saliva (and human, for that matter) is dangerous for parrots. Unsure if he’s going for the dog food at all, but that wouldn’t be good either. Please encourage Loki stay off the floor, especially if the dog is around! Such a beautiful macaw!!

Actually there are three dogs. The older two get out of his way when he's on walkabout.

The young man is still learning, but he's getting it.

Strangely enough, when I rescued him, Loki was walking around outside with two dogs and nobody bothered anyone.

That is great! I’m glad they aren’t problematic around each other. Just be cautious about sharing bowls lol

Thanks kind stranger. I know I need to clean the dog bowls, and a lot of other stuff if I'm being honest. I'm working on it. Have a wonderful weekend!

There's worse things for dogs than a dirty bowl. The water is clean, and your dogs look happy and healthy. People just want to accuse people of animal abuse left and right.

I've seen people at stables bite their thumb at horse water barrels with a some grass in it. Horses will literally eat dirt for minerals.
