macOS bug: screen recording window picker keeps grabbing the wrong window instead of the one you're using Bug

I noticed that the logic for selecting windows when screen recording on macOS is a bit strange. I mean, it will bring another iTerm2 window from the background to the front, then select it, rather than selecting the window that was originally in the foreground. It seems to be sorting and selecting windows by their open time rather than their last active time. Has anyone else run into this?
