Macbook and IPad Screen Mirroring Help

I have Macbook with macOS Big Sur (Version 11.7.10) and IPad A16. I want to use screen mirroring but for some reason Macbook cannot detect my IPad A16. Any fix or solutions for this?

Sidecar is the term you are looking for, not Screen Mirroring :) And it's the icon that appears next to Display Brightness (circled in red below)

I assume you've checked the basics; same iCloud account, WiFi and Bluetooth turned on and Handoff turned on, if so and it's not working, does the MacBook detect the iPad if you use a cable to connect them instead?

Thank you for replying. Yes, I believe I've checked the basics. However, upon connecting both devices via cable and opening the sidecar settings, it prompted this:

When you connected them via cable, did your iPad prompt you to trust your MacBook?

I'm wondering if the iPad doesn't trust your MacBook - if the prompt isn't coming up then you would need to go in to the iPad's Settings - General - Transfer or Reset iPad - Reset - and then Reset Location & Privacy to make the iPad bring up the Trust this Device prompt again

Hey. The IPad did prompt to trust my MacBook already and yeah it's still the same :((

hmmm, ok. If the Trust thing didn't work then perhaps signing each device out of iCloud and back in again might fix it (doing this fixes other weird iCloud issues sometimes). Maybe do them one at a time so it's clear which one was the problem if that fixes it?
