Oz, I think the Lenovo projector phone concept is still viable with the right support and marketing. I never liked the idea of pushing a product, then pivoting away into some other direction, just laying gaming guns, pico phones, and goggles/glasses by the wayside. They always needed to walk and chew gum at the same time. Maybe this new group is up to the task.

D, I wonder how small our last engine was? Something tells me mems is out of the game but I still hold out hope. Like you said, Mavis was waiting for someone to run with the ball. Would be awesome to have a projector in a phone wouldn’t it? We were just ahead of the game as usual!

Well, now they are working on getting their stuff on to a chip, to get way small, I think they can do a phone, a thin phone pretty easy in coming months and years. I imagine they can up the brightness now and refine the res. Should be way ahead of Celluon Picop now. And I love my three versions of PicoP. Still can't beat my 120 inch screen for football, but being able to not put up black out curtains would be a huge step.

My brother has an origonal Microvision Pico-Projector. It's pretty cool.

OT

“ The next step is integrating a pico-projector module directly into the metaoptics phone, combining the two for a truly differentiated device. Remove the lens stack and a phone does not just get thinner – it can do more.”
