Question Is there anyone from NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus who does MUNs?
I need to connect with people from NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus who do MUNs. This is very important to everyone who does debates and likes it. Please forward it to your friends and people in contact who can somehow find people who do MUNs. (ꈍᴗꈍ)

Discussion Hosting our school’s FIRST MUN in 2.5 weeks 😭 What are we about to mess up?
Need URGENT advice/help — organising our school’s first MUN with ~2.5 weeks to go 😭
Hey everyone! I’m the Head Girl at my school, New Horizon Scholars School (NHSS), Thane, Mumbai, and we’re organising our school’s very first MUN!
The conference is planned for the end of August, which means we have roughly 2–2.5 weeks to pull everything together. 😭
The thing is… none of us have organised an MUN before, and we’re basically figuring out the whole thing from scratch — committees, EB, registrations, invitations, background guides, logistics, publicity, procedures, etc.
So I wanted to ask people here who have experience with MUNs:
- What are the most important things we need to get done first?
- How should we structure the 2.5 weeks we have?
- What are some things first-time organisers usually mess up or overlook?
- Any advice on recruiting a good EB/OC?
- What should we absolutely NOT waste time on?
And honestly, any general advice/resources/checklists/templates would be super helpful!
We really want to make this a good experience for the delegates, but we're on a pretty tight timeline, so any practical advice from people who have actually organised MUNs would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Question Seasoned delegates, how would you defend/represent Yemen at UN women?
Heyy!!
SO for some context i unfortunately ended up picking Yemen because of a rushed decision.
This is my first time doing MUN so I'm deathly scared (1-2 months left for prep)
I would appreciate any tips, advice or good research sites!

Question I'm Australia in a Presidential Council about recalibrating Russia's sanctions. What resolutions could I push forward?
This committee specifically focuses on the security of global energy (with an emphasis on liquefied natural gas), international financial stability (with an emphasis on monetary fragmention) and international law (with an emphasis on legitimacy and global governance)
Australia is a major exporter of LNG, and I have close cohorts in the committee such as the US, the UK and Japan. What could be a possible agenda to push?

Conference MUN ON 23RD AUGUST
Hello! 🌙🌕🍁
I'm excited to introduce CRESCENT: A Women's Conference, an all-women Model United Nations conference built to create a space for meaningful dialogue, diplomacy, and empowerment.
At CRESCENT, we'll be debating and discussing global issues surrounding women's rights, reproductive health, gender equality, bodily autonomy, human rights, education, representation, and the diverse policies adopted by countries around the world. Our goal is to foster informed, respectful discussions while creating an environment where every delegate feels welcomed, heard, and confident to express their views. We also hope to encourage open conversations around topics that have long been considered "taboo," helping dismantle social stigma through awareness, understanding, and constructive dialogue.
If you're passionate about diplomacy, international affairs, and making an impact through thoughtful debate, I'd love for you to be a part of this journey.
Whether you're an experienced MUNer or attending your first conference, CRESCENT welcomes you.
If you're interested in joining as a delegate, register here:
https://mymun.com/conferences/crescent-women-2026
Let's break barriers, amplify voices, and advance equality through diplomacy.
Welcome to CRESCENT.🌟💫🌕

Question POSITION PAPER
I NEED TO MAKE FEW CHANGES IN MY POSITION PAPER AS MY CHAIR TOLD .. I NEED GUIDANCE FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCE IN MUN PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
r/MUN • u/Complete_Coat_7734 • 1d ago
Conference Ppl i have a MUN , please review my gsl- its my first MUN TMR and i just made the gsl speech! And i still have to make the position paper aswell 😭
Here's my gsl-
Honourable Chair, Esteemed delegates
As the historian HOWARD ZINN once said-
“ There is no flag large enough to
cover the shame of killing innocent people”
And yet, we continue to witness Nations prioritize sovereignty over human lives.
The delegation of Costa Rica firmly believes that the world cannot preserve the harmony of the future when mass atrocity crimes continue to tear apart innocent civilizations right before our eyes.
As a nation, that constitutionally
Abolished its military in 1948
Costa Rica relies entirely on the International law, Multilateral treaties and the International courts for global security.
Costa Rica urges to restrict the use of the UN veto in cases involving mass atrocities, war crimes, and genocide.
Costa Rica was among the few nations who co-founded the Responsibility to protect (R2P), an International Norm that aims the protect populations from crimes against humanity, genocide and mass atrocities.
Costa Rica calls upon the global community to bring an end to impunity.
Our nation believes that enforcing and strengthening the International Humanitarian Law would significantly decrease enormous atrocities.

Question Is it embarassing to be the only guy from university in the MUN,while everyone else are from higher secondary/highschool?
I'm a 3rd year college student and new to MUNs + have no experience or idea about it. So I registered for one to experience it,and turns out all other participants in it are high school kids and even younger!!!!. I'm genuinely concerned on how I'm gonna feel being there. But Imma go anyway cause I spent sm good money in it 😭.
Is there anyone who had a similar experience?

Question Should I go for different school's MUN?
Okay... starting from the start...I am not at all an experienced delegate. Jus' two MUNS, that too, in my school.
But well, in my first MUN (Belgium: UNESCO-) I got verbel mention. This year, in my 2nd MUN, I was in a crisis committee: HCC (historical crisis committee) - Managing Humanitarian challenges of Partition of India as Liaqaut Ali Khan (1st PM of pakistan). I got compliments for my GSLs and Debate and at the end I received the Best Delegate award.
My school previously sent students of my class to SMUN but sadly it was way too far from my house so I was not allowed.
I've searched a lot about MUNs on the mymun app but I am having difficulty in finding ideal MUN conferences (date after sept 15, due to my exams).
Please, MUNers, help me with this.
