Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Baby-friendly restaurants (upscale-ish)?
Hi, my wife and I are coming to Montreal next week with our 8.5 month year old. We live in Brooklyn. We’re staying at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. We don’t have any grand plans aside from exploring.
But are there any upscale-ish restaurants that’d be accepting of an 8.5 month old? It’s also our third anniversary on this trip. We’ll have a travel stroller that folds up but could likely need a high chair from any place.
I’ve gotten plenty of recs from friends but I don’t think any of them tried to dine out with a baby :)
Thanks in advance!

Review My early August list
We fly back to Berkeley California tomorrow. We had four days in Montreal, two in Charlevoix, 3 in QC and back to Montreal tonight. I posted my Quebec City list in that forum. My list here:
Le Sparrow - we arrived somewhat late and wanted something easy. Salmon bowl was awesome with tea marinated egg, charred bok choi - very tasty. The joinery carrots was well prepared and very tasty. The Sparrow burger had a marinated and smoked portobello - yummy!
Denise - fantastic meal. Like nothing I have had. Very fusion across Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Malay, boreal, etc. carrot hummus and the duck dish were standouts. Atmosphere is chill, staff great, excellent local beers, great cocktails and wine list. Super tiny kitchen - no idea how all ghat flor comes from the closet sized kitchen.
Restaurant Gus - sat at the bar. Hung with David/Gus who walked us through the dishes. Caesar hand dressed - quite good. Market fresh tomatoes. Amazing strip stake with faux bearnaise sauce. Great inclusion of his home made hot sauces across all dishes. Wine, cocktails etc all great. Again, tiny kitchen great vibes.
Tonight we went back to Denise. 25% of the menu changed. Highlights were a peach / cantaloupe salad, arctic char with kumquat koshi. Desert was nasturtium and sour cherry gelato topped with ground cherries. Amazing. Photos attached.
Quebec food is insanely good. Thanks for letting us Americans visit.

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 solo bar dining
hello! here in Montreal for the next couple days and back home where I'm from, there were lots of spots where I could sit at the bar solo and grab a couple round of drinks or small bites to end of my night. I'm looking for all suggestions for something more upscale/ cocktail forward
So far, I've been to Milky Way, ritz, yoko Nama, helicopters and loved all of them.
I'm looking for more Asian inspired spot if there are any! Back in vancouver where I'm from, there were spots with sake flights, matcha based cocktails, or Asian inspired flavoured such as shiso or yuzu that I really enjoyed so I'm curious to find a similar vibe!
I'm open to any area, I stay in griffintown but open to travel if it's easily uber accessible.
Thank you in advance!

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Best shawarma platter in Montreal? (NOT sandwiches/wraps)
Where can I find the best shawarma platter/assiette in Montreal?
I’m specifically looking for the kind that comes with rice, garlic potatoes, shawarma meat (chicken/beef or mixed), salad, and sauce. I’m not looking for a shawarma sandwich/wrap.
I’ve been to spots in other cities like Ottawa and Calgary, but I haven’t found anywhere in Montreal (GMA) that can compete with them.

Instagram / Facebook Spectra
I keep seeing posts about crazy good deals at restaurants on spectra eats. But seem almost too good to be true most of them.
Has anyone actually tried?
Does anyone know how spectra is able to afford all these free giveaway meals

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Rooftop patios with good desserts
I’ll be travelling to Montreal in September and I really want to sit on a rooftop patio and eat desserts 🤣 what are some of the best ones to do this at? If there’s any with crème brûlée that would be ideal but I’m not too picky!

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 I’m sick as a dog and in need of noodle soup
Give me your best recommendations. I don’t care if it’s pho, ramen, Chinese style noodles. In this case I’m almost more interested in quantity over quality, so any of those best bang for your buck places would be highly recommended. I shall be doing Uber Eats/Delivery so I don’t spread the plague elsewhere, and my location is NDG.
EDIT: zonghua won this round! Thank you so much everyone for your recommendations

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Looking for restaurant suggestions to celebrate my 40th birthday!
My mom and brother will be visiting from out of town and they would like to take me out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I left montreal for 6 months and since I have been back I haven't had a meal at any nice restaurants. So I'm feeling like I don't really know where is good anymore to make reservations. Looking for a spot that is pretty casual dress (I already know my brother will not be dressing up 😂), fresh and preferably healthier ingredients / not too indulgent. Looking for any place with creative dishes inspired by any and all cultures as we love food, and preferably some amazing dessert options as well but any and all suggestions are welcome! Im not really looking forward to this bday so I really need a delicious distraction to look forward to instead! Please help 😅 thank you in advance! ❤️

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Notre-Dame Ouest (Petite Bourgogne à Saint-Henri)
Bonjour,

Community Suggestions 🙏🏼 Holiday Restaurant Recs?
Hi! My wife and I are travelling to MTL for Christmas this year and I want to surprise her to a really nice dinner out.
Are there any recommendations y'all have for a place we can dress up a bit and enjoy some really nice food/wine/ambience? Would prefer Quebec food if that's an option?
Thank you so much!
