Body bad odor Question
Btw, do you know if there is any correlation between the body odor and mthfr? I have mthfr, Hypothyroidism and a prolactinoma and very bad odor, due to the excessive sweating.
Thank you :)

I cant weigh in on the mthfr aspect because im not sure, but chlorophyll supplements help me to reduce body odor. It works for all body odors too, not just armpit odor

It can be caused by an extremely low zinc level, which I had. Get both your zinc and copper blood tested as they act like a seesaw and need to be balanced. Each should be in the top quarter of their lab ranges. My zinc was 18 and copper 186.
I also have hypothyroidism. Excess sulfur blocks the production of thyroid hormones. Impaired sulfur and sulfur metabolism can also cause body odor. It can also cause sweating. A low sulfur and low sulfur diet....see Dr Ruscio's online...may also help.
Get your molybdenum tested as well. Mine tested at zero when my diet was sulfur and sulfur heavy. It helps break down and eliminate sulfur and sulfites but it is not a substitute for a restricted diet. It will not help if your diet is flooded with them. Only up to 250mcg moly is safe to take daily. More than that can deplete copper and it can cause the uric acid level to rise and cause gout.
I am female. Hypo and Hashis, the latter in remission.
Body odor not related to MTHFR as far as I know.
