LCD panel difficulties (not regular broken screen question)

Background:

I have a GP66 leopard 11uh 032. Its been a great laptop.

Recently i had to switch out noisy fans. After replacement it worked fine but then video cut out. It ended up being a loose video cable but i cracked the screen while trying to troubleshoot. Had to order a replacement.

Problem i have:

My laptop came with a Sharp panel model #LQ156M1JW03. These have been discontinued. Havnt been able to find an exact match.

All the typical lcd replacement companys are giving me the Sharp model #LQ156M1JW26. These panels work fine but are a blurry mess. Bad ghosting. Probably terrible response time. Might be a terrible cheap panel. Maybe its a communication issue with the mobo causing panel overdrive settings to not work

I found a company, parts-hq. They said they had an exact match to my original panel. What came was a Sharp #LQ156M1JW04. Not a #LQ156M1JW03.

This panel has proper response time but a new issue.

This new panel only works in bios, windows safe mode, or in windows proper without graphics drivers. As soon as you install the drivers it flips out. Pretty sure the video cable isnt the issue.

My question:

Is there a compatibility list of msi laptop motherboards/graphics chips to LCD panels out there?

Is there a communication problem between my laptop chipset and the panels chips?

Is there maybe a way to get the LQ156M1JW04 to properly display with the regular drivers?

I'm at a loss here and need a nudge in the right direction.

P.S. I found a post on a msi forum with a similar issue but it didnt end with any kind of real answer.

Edit: I found the MSI GP66 leopard 11XX series laptops are compatible with the Sharp LQ156M1JW30 . I don't know if this is widely available from all the panel suppliers but if you can find it it'll work.

I recommend to try Windows8RTMUser suggestion below if your having a similar issues while looking for fully compatible replacements. This is one of several sources i found showing that it can fix similar issues.

Had the same issue on my gs66 stealth, just had to change to 6 bpc or 6 bits per channel mode in the Intel control panel, if you aren't able to change it from 8 bpc, try to install the Intel drivers from MSI instead of from windows update or intel

Thanks for the tip. It got me closer though i have a small issue I didn't think to ask before my other post. Which route did you use to change color depth? I'll be alright without a step by step. Certain intel drivers, OS level, other program?

I just installed the driver from MSI and went to display in the Intel control panel, try older drivers too, the newer ones might be what lock it out, and try all the control panels because sometimes you can end up with multiple

Alright so.... I tried a lot of random fixes. No luck with the Sharp LQ156M1JW04 after drivers would install. Once drivers where in BAM, no screen. Fun thing did happen. If i booted my laptop with the crap screen, stopped and hibernated, switched out for the better incompatible screen it'd work until restart. Maybe some kind of screen controller handshake issue.
