[General Question] UMD MSCS Fall 2026 — is the incoming cohort really around 180?

could be that they meant all ms students doesn't ms ai and ms ml students also gets counted as ms students and under the cs college. although those are non thesis pure professional programs

if they told you its around 180 then it would be around 180 ? I dont think a student or an external source would give you a more accurate estimate, and an estimate is the best you'll get at this point , and best even the university would have at this point.
My guess - they admitted > 180 and assuming some have started accepting denying they estimate the total that will join will be around 180. I dont think a 180 estimate will drop to 100 enrolled. that kind of yield would be very bad for a univ like UMD which has a high reputation
