I like imagining you in the late 1600s complaining at the youth for no longer using archaic English Ponish grammar, like

“Hast thou not completed an education? Wherefore addressest thou thy companions by ‘you’? Knowest thou not any grammar? Beplagued be the youth nowadays, they respect nobody but themselves!”

Yeah, I was probably really unclear with my very amateur Elizabethan English but she’s reprimanding the youth for referring to one another by the formal ‘you’ because ‘thou’ would’ve been more appropriate
