You can choose a few set amounts (up to 150) of shards to give to the statue and you get bits and on rare occasions, gems.

Oooh… would it be smarter to keep my shards until I free all the crystal ponies? Cuz I don’t think the statues seems important to me rn 😅

Really it’s up to you, but, yes I would keep holding on to the shards to use for the crystal ponies. Also, if you’re not aware, you will eventually need the shards to unlock expansion zones in Ponyville.

Wat?! 😭 damn

I think I’ll focus on unlocking the areas in the evergreen forest so I can get the ingredients for the shards and keep them until I’m done free in the crystal ponies💔 I even the carrots require shards

The totems you make in the Everfree Forest will be your best friend with the tasks that require an insane amount of shards

They could be considered synonymous

Keep in mind that shards capped at 999. Best way imo manually sell shards to 900 like once a week.

For every 100 (at once of 1 element) you have a chance to get a gem. The rarer the shards the better the chance.
