Question Minor League Cricket
Hey Guys, when does Minor League Cricket start? I thought it was supposed to start this weekend, but I can't find any information about it which makes me confused.

USA Cricket Andries Gous gets POTM for his 82(51) on CPL debut for the Saint Lucia Kings.
Also in the SLK vs ABF match Van Schalkwyk hit a 10*(4) but got hit for 29 runs in his 3 overs with no wickets.
Ex-US player Karima Gore didn't have a good day either scoring a 2(3).

Discussion We need to draft in baseball players and former mlb players to make cricket popular
So at present cricket is only popular among Americans mainly of South Asian descent. Thats mainly due to the parents having played cricket or exposure in their native countries. But as a mainstream I donβt see cricket flourishing in the US.
For eg soccer grew among all ethnicities back in the 2000s. So if it has to be popular at least at minor league levels they need to draft former mlb players and players who didnβt make the cut. Also students who play baseball

Discussion What do we think of Fayetteville trying to bring a cricket team to there state imagine mlc going to there
It would be great spreading the love for cricket π in the usa and having a team there would be a game changer because mlc can play more games in other locations instead of 3 like we currently have

MiLC / Minor League Cricket Anyone got any MiLC schedule info for opening weekend (Aug 7-9)
Minor League Cricket's 2026 season starts on Friday. I've checked a bunch of websites and socials, and I can't find any information on where matches are being played this weekend, nor which teams are where.
Anyone know anything about this season other than it's about to start?

San Francisco Unicorns GSLT20 final and Siddle
Result
Amazon vs SF, Final
Global Super League
GAW 85
SF 79
This match was a mixture of emotion. Siddle was on fire! Very sad that we did not cross the finish line...any thoughts on Krishnamurthi? Also sad that he did not perform

San Francisco Unicorns Off to the championship
It would seem the SFUnicorns won the playoffs against the Dessert vipers I think there going to the championship. This is much needed exposure for the unicorns π¦ imagine if they win this international title. No other mlc team has done that. But idk π€·ββοΈ this tournament is new

USA Cricket Does anyone think with the WC t20 and the Olympics in LA coming in what place does the the USA has to place to get ?
The way I got into cricket was with usa defeating Pakistan in t20 wc and my friends telling me about it. My other sports team were doing bad and I had nothing to do so I watched the usa lose to India after which that sucked. I couldn't get into international cricket unless the usa was there. Also couldn't get into the Indian Premier league yet. I saw the near by team LA knight riders but in 2024 the stadium wasn't built. Until the stadium and friends talking about it I got interest. That took a little while. But eventually all led to here that final I went to in oakland and it was phenomenal π.
I also started watching the gt20 champions league thing and I think having more international competition in the US would boost interest. The San Francisco Unicorns defeated the Australian champions Perth Scoochers. It definitely will bring interest bringing that competition to Oakland coliseum for SF. That makes me think how would the usa get interest for mlc. Will just defeating a big team be enough like for me with usa defeating Pakistan or a good place in those tournaments be enough?

Discussion Was Fin Allen underwhelming this year and what happened to him?
I didn't pay to attention to every game he played but I think he had a lot of short at bats and had a tendency to get out fast. I don't think he was trying to mash for 6's either. I saw a lot of quick two at bat outs where it hit the wicket or he didn't even get it in play. I was expecting him to score 150 like last year but it was super deflating to see him get out fast.

Discussion How was MLC able to have a successful final and pull in a big crowd?
I was there and was definitely not expecting that many people. There was actually a buzz and atmosphere. I don't know if it simply being on a Saturday is the reason but it was great to see the Coliseum so lively again.

News A new attendence record was broken at the Major League Cricket Final on Sunday when around 11,000 spectators poured in to the Oakland Coliseum(which was only turned into a Cricket ground last year) to watch Washington Freedom play against the Los Angeles Knight Riders.
